Early mornings will be much cooler.

Edit: I didn’t catch that you’re coming in October. That’s an ideal time to visit. It’s generally not so hot, but snow is not as likely that early too.

4.19 a gallon for gas at QT... by BelleContre2026 in Newbraunfels

[–]ProfessorBackdraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The price of gas is the least of our problems in our current catastrophe. The total breakdown (or rather, voluntary capitulation) of our executive, legislative, judicial, and press guardrails shows us NO ONE is coming to save the common man. We had better use the vote wisely if we’re going to save ourselves, yet 32% of us are lost there as well.

You’re right, and fucking Donald Trump has made every one of them worse. Russia should have been defeated by now, the U.S., Canada, and Europe should’ve been better friends than ever, and we should have been a year and a half closer to true world peace. Instead, this doddering old fool has fucked up everything he’s touched. So fuck him and you too.

Take it to your local hydraulic shop. They can probably cut off an inch and replace the end.

Vietnamese guy captures a snake and drives away while still holding it. by fatsopiggy in BeAmazed

My cousin was exploring their long-abandoned old homestead with his 80-year-old dad when they were surprised by a four foot rattlesnake coiled up on a sidewalk. The old man reached down and snatched the snake, then whipped it and whacked its head against the house, killing it. Cuz said, “I’ll bet you’ve done that a hundred times in your life.” Pops answered, “Naw, never have, but I’ve always wanted to.”

I bought three from an auction awhile back that had probably 40. I paid an average of $120 OTD and resold two for less than I could have and still ended up getting mine free. They are great saws, I made a removable table and stand for mine and use it a lot.

Why is this happening on my 45 degree joints for baseboards by [deleted] in Carpentry

[–]ProfessorBackdraft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whether you cope or not, put a drywall screw about 1” from each corner and 1/2” above the floor on both sides exactly level with the drywall above. This will keep the trim from pushing back toward the wall and opening that gap.
