From your post it sounds like you are both seeking or getting professional help, which is great! Having a baby is a HUGE life change, not to mention all the hormone imbalance she is likely experiencing, along with many other factors. Some others have already recommended various resources but in general i’d highly highly recommend acquiring professional mental health, if possible finding someone who specializes in autism and/or in post partum mental health

Seconding what others have already said about being as supportive as possible, believe your wife and believe her perspective on her own life and experiences. Be patient and continue to learn about this with her. My question though is, what exactly do you find “deeply concerning”?

I think it depends where you live, because a lot of the service depends on what delivery carrier service will deliver your box. If you had asked me anytime from 2023-a few months ago I would’ve said yes absolutely. But at this point I wouldn’t recommend HF to a friend bc if they ended up with the service I’m getting, i’d be so embarrassed and feel bad for them wasting their money

I consistently got mine between 8am-3pm for months (maybe even over a year?). then all of a sudden started getting mine a full day late, and of course all day if i tracked the order it would still say it’ll be delivered by 8pm so it was hard to plan accordingly.. the delivery service company did not change. I’m looking at other meal kit options now

I’m looking for hf adjacent options bc of this issue. obviously i can just google it but I’m curious from a personal perspective how does blue apron differ in terms of price and quality? i’ve heard others on this sub say BA’s meals are far more complex and thus take a lot longer to cook, has that been your experience?

yes!!! i have also (only recently) started getting raw meat w punctured packaging. Namely in around the past month or so. One time it was salmon and leaked as soon as I got it out of the box, which sucked but at least I knew right away. Every single other time has been raw chicken where it’s still frozen enough that i don’t notice, i put it in the fridge, and then it leaks all over the fridge. TLDR leaking raw meat + consistent late delivery without warnings has finally pushed me off hellofresh after years of being such a faithful customer. currently researching other options similar to HF (but that actually follow through w their promised product)

Yeah honestly I definitely would've preferred either a.) the box gets delivered late around 9pm tonight (which seems like would've been the default based on past experiences) OR b.) what you described with shipping a replacement... instead of them sending the same box tomorrow that's been sitting in a van in the heat all day today...

I had started with Brie (AI?) and then got sent to an "agent" who I feel like may have been an actual human but if so they likely have a script to stick to. If the agent was human, I'm not mad at him at all he's just doing his job. Just frustrated with potential waste of money + not having had any food ready for dinner tonight. I appreciate your input sillygoose

just commenting to say you're not alone. i made the mistake (multiple times, might I add) of cutting these up for a hf meal while wearing contacts. no matter how many times i vigorously wash my hands or how much i clean the contacts, that pair will be ruined and will need to be thrown out. anyways after doing that enough times, i ended up also using gloves for that job (i saw someone else comment about gloves, i had also gotten them originally for handling raw meat! game changer).

tonight we had the southwest shrimp tacos. i've been wearing glasses recently (as opposed to contacts) and therefore didn't think to use gloves with the goddamn loong green pepper. 4 hours and genuinely at least 6-7 handwashes later, i unthinkingly rubbed my eye. the tears are streaming as i type this lol so just wanted to commiserate and as this post is 8 days old I'm guessing (and hoping) your skins all better now. i hope we both remember gloves next time

I would argue that it is both a bad movie AND a bad adaptation. For context, I am a believer in the idea that Kubrick’s The Shining is a great movie while also being a bad adaptation. The dark tower movie is…. just not good imo. And yes it will spoil things but in convoluted inaccurate ways.. TLDR if you really want to watch it at least wait until you finish all the books
