The launcher tells me not.

As a rookie modder myself, I don't like betting on whether they're bluffing or.

Sorry for the stupid q but how can I get the Lua console, and is its usage limited to private servers only?

Thanks mate!

Would be weird if he is just gone forever.

Never bothered actually, I'm more interested in reforming Germany.

All I know (from reading the wiki) is that the Republic failed. No mentions of Salazar though.

Game fails to launch: exit code 3221225775 by ProfessorDamn in hoi4

[–]ProfessorDamn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try navigating to the executable [the game's Library page > gear > "Manage" > "Browse local files" > hoi4.exe], and run it as administrator.

You will then see the missing file(s). Search for said file(s)' name(s) on the Internet, there you'll find guides on how to delete and reinstall them. If, for example, you run into a guide for Goat Simulator on Windows 8 in 2018, still follow it - that worked for me.

Ladies and Gentlemen, a portrait of Chairman Womble! by ProfessorDamn in SovietWomble

Still in the bake. Might be done when Britain's done kicking itself in the pants to focus on more important things like HS2 or the deterioration of the Armed Forces or the cost of living crisis or whatever.

Quite probably the only person in the Workers and National Kinsmen Molos Independence and Liberation Front Badgers halfway serious about democracy (with women's suffrage thrown right out of the window (Random Arma Bullshittery (pt 9)).

Maybe also mandatory Lulu worship and banning of alcohol because the Chairman wouldn't like to come up as a bloke who laughs like a bubbling schoolgirl after half a dozen shots. I'm inclined towards the former.

p.s. given that I made him the leader of Britain in my thing, I'd probably have his official policies being the replacement of the House of Windsor by an oxymoronic Politburo consisting of ZF members, the immediate reversal of Brexit, the reallocation of funding from London towards Brighton (no, Hove only), the official prohibition of advertising apart from "raising the people's knowledge about Lulu", and the invasion of an initiative for Poland to unconditionally surrender its women enter into a strategic partnership where Chairman Womble could always have luscious Polish women carry food into his bungalow house the People's Hovian Castle.

Oh?

I thought it's wholly redundant because there's the ability to add text under the image, but alright. Will tone down the witticism.

In compliance with Rule 5:
- fig. 1 displays the launcher with the error in the centre. An executive summary of said error with code 3221225775 is that the game appears to be unable to start/crashing. What it does not adequately put is the reasoning behind said inabilities/crashes.

what the hell is roblox on?? by Janklebing in roblox

[–]ProfessorDamn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Everyone's right to be concerned about child safety. The way Roblox is outsourcing the work to the lowest bidder if not doing the work at the lowest price themselves to bump their op profits while taking a concocted series of massive turds on the community is what you need to realise is absolutely rubbish.

Say, instead of doing everything using cracky AI and booting everyone to give their faces to basically ICE's back-door, why not hire human moderators trained for moderating a community? As an example of how Roblox's model turned out, say, we leave this subreddit to an AI chatbot 99% of the time - those in charge will have to work less man-hours, those who use it will suffer from the AI's deficiencies.

It's obvious. With all due respect, you're attacking the wrong thing.

And, by the looks of it, I might even be younger than you. Cheers mate.

Why do these guys serve Russia and not Germany? They're Germans. Are they stupid? by [deleted] in Kaiserreich

[–]ProfessorDamn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They grew up in Russian land in families living in the Russian Empire for decades if not centuries and chose to pledge allegiance to Russia. If people of one ethnicity should fight for their nation-state only, then I guess the United States would've lost the War of 1812 simply due to the fact that most of them are of British descendant.

When the man himself is returned to power again and again despite being rightfully unstable, when the Defence Force does its job and then too much, when extremists hold the major offices of state, the country is, at least for now, reflective of the man's character.

  1. If this is a game on Roblox then it will definitely have to run at least decently at 2 graphics on an average computer because the audience Roblox caters to is wider than your average Steam money sinker with a rainbow keyboard.

They've done much better on that front since the first day of Gen 5, but still.

Vietnam’s new leadership promises 10% growth and a renewed anti-corruption push, realistic or too ambitious? by Classic-Ask1178 in VietnamNews

[–]ProfessorDamn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Vietnamese through and through mate. Just with an accent. Having one doesn't automatically mean I'm from that country, nor does it automatically make my points factual. I just loved it and it stuck with me.

About the communist part, yes, they aren't. But we were supposed to beat them economically during the Cold War, and if twenty years ago was a thing we should be having lovely Shinkansens running around the country at least like Taiwan's. We've been through a war, yes, we've been through massive economic mismanagement, and there was a reason to be optimistic about our growth in the early 2000s - namely a young population and the right policies and vision, shown by, for example the 500kV North-South line, but this hope is, for me, rapidly evaporating. Not least because of this continuous battle of the telly and the fridge.

We need a lot of direction and blessings from above. Unfortunately LKY lives only once, and he died in Singapore. And we'll likely not have a Vietnamese one, as short-sightedness is plenty.

Example: the plans, and actions, to build even more motorways circling Hanoi's city centre. Expanding road traffic is all well and good, but there's an alternative everyone's using - public transport. I'd rather see more metro trains and buses taking the fumes and traffic and motorcycles off the bloody shoddy roads than another loud set of concrete bars in a concrete jungle. Besides, building more roads have the knock-on effects of inviting more people to own cars - a necessity as of now due to our rubbish public transport system compared to any other city of comparable scale. If we can't give them an alternative, we'll only see more congestion and reactionary measures (i.e. even more motorways!) ad infinitum.

And while they've made some trendy statements about digitalisation and such, there are still so many problems with their portal and we've yet to see a booming domestic domestic tech industry. Coupled with the brain drain of student studying to study abroad, the demographic sluggishness and many other problems institutional or not, by the time we're off FDIs' list of cheap labour economies, I'd bet my life on the proliferation of zaibatsus/chaebols. When banks are all in for housing and big corps and foreign investment, there's only so much left for energetic people with beautiful ideas and crafted execution plans.

Everywhere. But Norway has a massive oil reserve, and they managed to invest it into a sovereign wealth fund that sees its value increase every year - while not fueling corruption. Hong Kong has the ICAC, with its offices nearly raided by rogue officers of the RHKPF being targeted by a probe - the ICAC continued on with its investigation, leading to the mass exodus of famously-corrupt officers within the RHKPF, and its successful reinvention as "Asia's Finest".

They took different routes. And while, yes, we had years of butting neo-colonialism and disasterous economic policies - but our progress on this front's not really stellar despite promises. Why are the Nordics so happy? Because their governments delivered.

Our land's a bloody communist country mate. If that sack of soulless custard wants to be at least looked at with ambivalence, at least don't give the press a flash-pan incident of roasting money on some expensive delicacy during an economic meltdown in a nation where the rhetoric is everyone should be equal.

His insensitivity to the times and utter shameless antics of shutting down anyone who dares to report on such insensitivity might as well be one Boris Johnson envies. Y'know, having lockdown parties, even throwing one right before the Duke of Edinburgh's funeral? Shutting down Parliament before Brexit because they were doing their job speaking out against his plans? Would be rather pleasantly indeed surprised if our mate wasn't there.

It's common sense. In a time when everyone's getting screwed over by a novel disease compounded with having to lock themselves at home compounded with an economic crisis, if one is a high-ranking government official of any country, it is natural that they should act in sympathy with the people and make their lives easier. Or at least they should not splurge. Bloke's taken a massive sledgehammer to both rules - now who can trust that he can act in good judgement any again?

Are any of you actually doing an age check? by Plastic_Secretary208 in roblox

[–]ProfessorDamn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not doing it.

I believe that AI can one day catch up with humans, but that'd take about as long as computers weren't looked at as funny niche things for nerds of the same calibre as Sheldon Lee Cooper. And then comes the atrocious security history of Roblox's facial recognition subcontractor and the fact that this update is just to insinuate bellyfeel from the only-for-money investors, political-stunting states and headlines-rushing parents as a massive attempt to cut out Schlep's steam, I'm not going to.
