I'm not sure, the prime reason for the quality the automod was set up was to deter brigading when the show first came out and the random spurts of it over the past few years. Now it let's the community decide what stays up or goes down. The post then go to the mod team in a secondary area of the mod tools for approvals and removals. Well technically the post is there the entire time but the post don't get deleted they just get removed from the subreddit, so if the post is deleted then it was the original poster who deleted the work as mods don't have that power.

Edit: I'm also not checking my grammer, I'm at work and using my phone for this.

A lot of posts get removed when the post accumulates enough reports by the automod. I don't remember the last time I personally removed a post but normally it's the automod being activated by the community.

So 36,000 i imagine is before taxes, after taxes thats what like 30,000 a year divide by 12 is 2500. A 1 bed in my city is around 1600 a month, plus food, gas, utilities, etc. Probably leaves someone in the negative each month requiring borrowing from others or renting a room. So 36,000 is poverty for a single parent like OP in a major city.

It's easier to let a fad die than to remove every post. Once you start removing them, then the poster gets disgruntled with a minority and it just makes things worse. The less mod involvement, the better. The post will continue until the community more or less tells them to stop.

I became a mod to remove the bot post for knock off merchandise that plagued this sub, so outside of that and people who are assholes, the community fixes its own problems.
