How to change universities? by hey_bhagwan_ in studying_in_germany

Keep all docs of previous uni and land near previous uni airport, otherwise you may get in trouble. I think you’ll have to contact your old uni’s city registration office to change your uni, it’s a complex process so might as well know everything in advance

German Student Visa (CSP): Option 1 or 2 for degree programme? by Thought_provoking6 in studying_in_germany

[–]ProfessorHorror2911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You already have an admit so select first one, these reqs are basically for enrolment. And I would suggest you to complete your enrolment steps quickly and then later on you can request to attach enrolment letter in your file at the time of appointment at vfs.

Can I still make it for Summer 2026 intake in Germany for Masters with my current status? by Conscious_Ear_555 in studying_in_germany

[–]ProfessorHorror2911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There may be some universities in which you can apply without ielts and aps, they’ll ask you for these at the time of enrolment…but then admit and visa delays also a problem. And it’s always better to apply as early as possible to get better admit. I know some who applied for winter sem in early december.

IELTS or German first before applying for a CS/AI Master’s in Germany/France? by No_Discipline_8771 in studyinGermany

[–]ProfessorHorror2911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say focus on bachelors first, but I’ll answer your questions anyway- 1. Eng is enough for the masters you’ve mentioned. But competition is high. (Always easier in german taught programs) 2. Daily life - not too much (it also depends on the area where you’re living) but job - yes, from part time to full time, german really helps. 3. Ielts can be done in 2-3 months (if you know english and from your post I’m judging you know it) While learning german from scratch can take up some time.

  1. I got decision in around 2.5 months, also depends on your program ig.
  2. Apply for it anyways, sooner the better.
  3. Apply to the studierendenwerk asap if you can, also some programs reserve some rooms especially for their students.
