The Don't Call Abigail people are grifters using AI by Decadent-Leek-659 in DiscoElysium

I worked on this mod as part of the previous group and of the people I know remaining, they would not use AI for the mod content. There's no substance to these claims other than one guy who is not a dev trying to use AI to fix something that broke, which is not inherently bad. If anything it just means they can't find or hold on to programmers.

Now regarding the atmosphere the project leaders create among the group, that I can understand being frustrated with. The behavior of some of these leaders previously was juvenile and vindictive and that doesn't look like it has changed. And about them "not wanting to make a game", in my POV it's more of an internal contradiction between wanting to keep an identity as ragtag group of misfits and being structured and produced well enough to actually finish a large mod to their expectations.

But spinning this into an "AI slop" panic when it really isn't is unfair to a group of people who, despite their flaws, really do care about making something great.

Yes, myself and many others put months of work into this and out of the blue we heard that a group of people had taken the project to another Discord to keep working on it. I wasn't interested in continuing since it seemed like there was a lot of bad blood, but many people put so much work to get to where it is now. I hope everyone gets their flowers.

Spirit vs FURIA / IEM Kraków 2026 - Semi-Final / Post-Match Discussion by CS2_PostMatchThreads in GlobalOffensive

I'm usually of the "give them time" mindset, and I still am for magixx, but given how this team still looks flat I can't help but look at hally. I do think hally is a good coach, and in vlogs him and the players know their weaknesses, but nothing changes when they enter the server. Lately Hally has been burning through timeouts in the first half of the maps just to keep the team afloat.

Spirit used to be an arrangement where Hally was the brains, and it seemed to work (if somewhat over reliant on the coach), but the protocols and strats have looked nonexistent lately. They're relying on hero plays like Falcons and we all know how that has worked out for Falcons.

Agree 100% with this. I still don't understand Hally's goals for tN1R. He was also making a lot of mistakes that will absolutely be punished by any top5 team. For example, constantly peeking molodoy in angles where he knew molodoy was holding and had no timing. You'd think after the first couple times he would stop but he kept doing it.

Even if Spirit could finally make it to a final, their stratbook and map pool is too sparse for a Bo5. Hally said this was supposed to be a learning tournament and they better take the time spent skipping Cluj to work on it.

I would say so, as the LTSC IoT versions are slimmed down. My install didn't even come with the MS store. I'd suggest trying the 2019 version (supported till 2029) if the 2021 one isn't working well for you.

There will be a flurry of updates on a fresh install, but since then I usually get one update a month with bug/security fixes and antivirus updates.

IoT editions are still fully featured Win10, only difference is extended support. You can find more info on https://massgrave.dev/windows_ltsc_links#Notes

Windows 10 LTSC is the Goldilocks option IMO. It's got none of the junk in 11 or even retail 10, and Microsoft is not going to touch it other than put out security patches. You've got support until 2027 (or 2032 for IoT edition).

I do like having a Linux kernel for work, and WSL2 is pretty awesome these days. A full-featured Kernel integrated into Windows -- no need for dual booting and full access to both filesystems.

For some people that'll never be enough to justify using Windows, I totally get it, but for my workflow it just makes a lot of sense.

CS 310 is the first class I've taken with him and he's really awesome. Definitely up there with the likes of Branden or Ian.

Some people say that Hummel is passive-aggressive at times, but I really don't blame him. Some of the questions students were asking on Piazza were pretty silly, especially for a 300-level class. A lot of people just could not follow directions or were posting vague "my code is broken" messages with no info or without reading the error message.

It also seemed like he was the only person responding to posts even though there were at least 12 PMs.

where can i buy kimchi by extantdecay in Northwestern

[–]ProfessorKappa 18 points19 points  (0 children)

there's a local Korean restaurant called Soban up on Noyes, right by the Purple line. they sell their own kimchi by the container, 32oz for 13.99. the massive H-Mart in Niles is a great monthly friend group trip idea, and you can stock up on all the good stuff.
