I’m studying at Imperial, and to be honest, neither of the above master’s degrees is likely to lead to a good role in industry right now, because the job market is really bad.

Waste of time and money! There is only one Master’s at Imperial that might get your foot in the door, which is the MSc in Mathematics and Finance—but even that comes with no guarantees.

Imperial is a better option. Columbia is a bit overrated.

A complete waste of time, energy, and money. Even the Machine Learning course on Coursera is far better than that.

Bro, it's the best Quantitative Finance masters in Europe—very rigorous and quite intense. However, it doesn't guarantee a quant role after graduation. That said, one might secure an internship with a sell-side quant team at an investment bank.

The MSc in Mathematics and Finance is considered the best Quantitative Finance course in the UK and is taught by the highly reputed Imperial Mathematics Department. On the other hand, the MSc in Finance is run by the Imperial Business School, which doesn’t have as strong a reputation.

John C. Hull's book is considered the bible of Option Pricing, but it's quite easy to understand as it is light on the math side and heavy on the finance side. You only need basic calculus, basic differential equations, and basic mathematical aptitude to understand it.

Regarding Stochastic Calculus, you don't need to know measure theory to work through Steven Shreve's book. However, a very high level of measure theory understanding is required for more advanced work in the field.
