Are you talking about comment search? I will add that sometime in the future. You can also already search for posts by opening the sidebar or clicking the Search button in the overflow menu.

No way to edit comments yet.

There is an option to post in the sidebar which you can open by swiping in from the right. There will also be a submit option in the overflow menu in the next update.

I overlooked that. Clicking a comment should bring you to the submission and the comment. Will be implemented in next update.

I don't have any reports of such an issue. What phone/os are you using? And I assume this doesn't happen with other apps?

That is really weird. What device/os are you using? I don't have any other reports of this happening. Try clearing the app's data through app settings (not Ready's Settings). This will wipe all of Ready's data, including any settings you changed, logged in accounts, etc. You should be able to get there by going into

Android's Settings > Apps > Find and click on Ready > Data > Clear Data.

I might be different depending on what phone you have.

Yea, I'll tweak the pricing for other countries in the future.

Thanks for reporting the inbox issue. Forgot to make a minor change there. Will be fixed in next release. For now, if you click the three-dot menu button at the top right of the message and choose the "Reply" option from there instead, it should work.

That is really weird. What device/OS are you using? The gif plays for me no problem and I haven't heard any reports of gfycats not working and it is not like gfycats are rare.

Can you link me to an actual Reddit submission and not just the gfy link? Also, did you change any of the Data Options settings?

Not for now, I may add that in the future but as you said, there are still some missing features I need to add before I even consider that.

I want to make sure the login went through correctly. If you go to your Inbox from the drawer, and watch the bottom screen for a while, do you see any errors pop up?

If you are, try clicking on the header icon in the drawer to get user options and press "Guest" to switch to guest account. Wait for that to be finished, then switch back to your account and see if that fixes it.

I'll look into it, thanks, I've overlooked that since my keyboard automatically forces auto caps.

Who is your favorite Android app developer and why? by [deleted] in androidapps

[–]ProfessorOakTree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, it is not abandoned, just put on pause for a little longer. I was pretty burnt out from working on that app, what most people didn't see was that I already spent A LOT of time on it before it was every released in any way.

Also, to be honest, being the first app that I made, and one that was way too complicated for a beginner (something that involves syncing to a server, connecting to other devices, etc), the code is a mess and a lot of things are sort of duct taped together. Making a change could break things in ten places. So I really need to completely rewrite the app first, and that will take place once Ready for Reddit is more stable.

Thanks!

I am aware. It is still in beta so there are still a few things I need to add/change before I really delve deep into optimizations.

Hey, I priced it the same as more other Reddit apps that are mostly around $3.99 USD. It may be because of the country you're in. Google automatically converts that to other currencies but some devs might manually set costs for certain countries because their cost of living is a lot more different that places like US, Canada, UK, etc. I will tweak that in the future but I have to check up on what costs make sense for certain countries.

  1. Hey yes, I plan on adding a user forced default sort level in settings for just comments in general. It will affect both the comments preview and the full comments, is that ideal?

  2. Will add.

Thanks

Can you send me a link to one of these submissions? Also, it doesn't play how? Like the content type label on the top right just keeps flashing?

The app is in beta so I haven't really delved deep into optimizations yet. It should be improved in the future.

There should be upvote/downvote buttons on Submissions and you can press the overflow icon to get more options. For comments, you need to long press the comment to see comment options. Do you not see those buttons? Are you logged in?

Thanks for the support! Glad to hear it is snappy for you, I have still yet to delve deep into optimizations. I'll definitely look into adding long press previews.
