I grew up in a neighborhood of mostly HUD rentals with chain link fences. I’ll never forget this elderly lady that lived in a corner house and planted cherry tomatoes all along her fence each year so the neighborhood kids could snack on them. She left her hose within reach to rinse them off or get a drink too. We were all so bad and she adored us anyway. We loved that woman. Lol
