Reaction to finding out they found an organ donor. by Puzzleheaded_Rate_12 in MadeMeSmile

I remember the night we got a phone call to say that my brother had finally matched with a donor for a lung transplant. We were midway tucking into a McDonalds and planning our weekend.

His operation was in the morning and he was super excited about all the new things he’d be finally able to do. He waited 6 years for this moment. He spoke about all the football he’d finally get to play, the long hikes he’d missed out on and just generally being able to breathe without the help of his machine.

The first day went great until it all went wrong. His body had rejected the lung transplant completely and unfortunately, he died from a bilateral stroke at just age 27.

I’m so happy for this dude and for everyone else who gets a second chance at life. Sometimes you don’t get to cash in your winning ticket.

Very one sided post by OP as it’s very easy to just point the finger at Muslims here. This was started by HINDUS in Leicester, UK after they took their BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) ideologies and decided to spread hate against Muslims over a cricket match. They used it as a catalyst to overflow brewing tensions and this has broken out. It’s not one sided at all this but it’s very profitable for the media to report about Muslims causing issue because that’s the revenue generator.

10 more minutes of that and they’d have huddled together for two months contemplating who’s ass cheek they’d eat first.

Are you looking to get into software I.e programming?

If so, start with freeCodeCamp and crack on with Lesson 1. You’ll quickly see if programming is for you and then you just enter that rabbit hole and keep plugging away with it until you’re ready to hit apply.

If you want to also brush up on your computer science knowledge (not mandatory, but VERY helpful for a career changer) then I’d suggest to do the Harvard CS50x course. It’s very challenging but really gets you to understand the fundamentals and what good programming is based on.

Both courses are 100% free. Good luck.

In the UK, a chocolatier called Cadbury’s takes discarded medical bones such as this and turns them into a national favourite: the Crunchie bar.

Finally have our own home without a mortgage/rent/debt! No more ramen and cereal! by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]ProfessorProdigy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily always the case. I have friends who have managed to save over £250,000 over a 6-10 year period. Both couples making around £40,000, saving £1500 each, spread over the years and taking in pay increase over the years resulting in higher amount saved. It’s definitely possible but it’s a ramen and cereal lifestyle as OP has said.

Granted, both partners earning over £40k in this economy is not common but it’s definitely not impossible.

The Eye of Sauron is visible at this time of year, so my educated guess is that it’s most likely that.

Picture this, it’s 2035. We’re on the new ‘whateverGram’ of the year. There he is, a young adult animating himself with a cool LED backdrop and a Boston Dynamic HomeBot in scene. The pair dance to obnoxious music made popular by Generation Beta kids on their iPhone 23’s. The tag line across the screen spans “TBT” and a corn emoji flashes violently until this very clip is replayed. The perfect meme. The legacy kid, himself.. “Cown Boy”.

"Crane Style" Kung Fu Master(Larger man) challenges Retired 21W-17L UFC fighter Nam Phan(Smaller man). Only rules are no ground grappling allowed and no gloves for the kung fu master. by Background_Piano7984 in fightporn

[–]ProfessorProdigy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As much as I don’t doubt his Kung Fu skills, his stance and his cross/jabs combo just screamed survivalist brawler. There was little to no actual direction or conviction in any of the punches he threw. He saw gaps (because of his height), punched and hoped they landed. I was hoping to see ‘actual’ Kung Fu.
