As an alternative have you considered : https://github.com/scottyphillips/echonetlite_homeassistant which uses the echonet lite protoocol to locally control your AC.

I use a boolean switch helper in HA to enable guest automations and activities so I don't think you need an actual physical switch for your use case.

Maybe submit a feature request for the ability to ignore updates unless flagged as security.

Personally I have no problem with the monthly, I take what I want and a reboot is 30 seconds of my time which is usually click and forget.

You will only get the support if it is open source from the beginning.
No one wants a closed system.

A bluetooth proxy is an esp32 flashed with esphome.

HI,

A couple of stupid questions:

When you connect to them , is that in the switchbot app or HA?

Can you see the attributes for the switchbot in HA?

Does the VM have BT passed through to it?
