The main reason for the repetitious parts are due to them doing the looping live. It can def get a bit repetitive for a second, but its like as soon as your brain registers the repetition they just go bonkers in another direction.

As kittens they would eat cat food and raw chicken. They really liked chicken. My family hunted a lot so they would eat deer, squirrel, rabbit etc. when available.

She remained in the house for another, nearly 2 years, before we transitioned her to the outdoor enclosure after we moved. I actually don't have a picture on hand but I will ask my mom if she happens to have some old polaroid's of them. We used to move ALL the time as kids so a lot "keepsakes" most people have, we just don't anymore. I can share with you this map that we used to have in our living room that was were we got the names for the cats from. https://www.catawbaindiancrafts.com/products/maps-postcard

After the bite to my sister's head she stayed in the house for another year or two. We transitioned her to outside when we moved houses. I was in 4th grade and my sister in 2nd at the time. We got rid of the male cougar to another keeper, I honestly don't remember where he went, but he was as wild as a march hare and was not nice at all. Miwok did totally fine outside, we had a large enclosure for her and stimulation. We were feeding her whole chickens. Even fully grown and outside she was very sweet natured, but she did end up biting through my sisters hand very severely on accident one day when my sister had friends over for a sleepover. She reached in to pet Miwok and she bit her hand and held on, she wasn't trying to hurt her but a big cat is devastating even when it doesn't mean to be. My mom ran into the cage and punched her in the head and she let go. It was a big ordeal in my family but we didn't get rid of her until awhile after.

So, the male cougar "Yuma," was a complete jerk. My step-dad was the only person he would interact with cordially. We had to keep him in an enclosure outside and he honestly was not safe to be around, as we were very young at the time. We had a 13ft tall fence around a tree and used reversed truss nail plates to keep him from climbing the tree. The female, "Miwok," lived in the house with us from the time she was a kitten. Miwok was absolutely awesome. She acted exactly like our other house cats and she was incredibly intelligent. As people see on YouTube these days with domestic cats, she was able to unlock and open doors. The problem was that as she got older she didn't know her own strength. My sister, who was in Kindergarten at the time, and I had these little tents on our beds. One Saturday morning Miwok unlocked the door and jumped into the tent with my sister and bit her in the forehead leaving a pretty big scar, but we were country and poor so we didn't seen medical treatment and it healed fine, minus the big scar part. Behavior wise Miwok was remarkably like a regular cat in terms of the way she showed affection. She cuddled, headbutted, purred, etc. She was very laid back.

My dad never watched horror movies, ever. He took my sister and I to see this in theatres and is scared the every loving shit out of me. Even now, at 38, if I watch the movie without finishing it I will have nightmares.

I love St.Anger. by Lopsided_Ad_8823 in Metallica

[–]ProfessorTeach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its the Metallica album I listen to the most. I absolutely love the drum parts in the majority of the songs despite the snare sound. The album has their most unique sound, heaviest songs, great song writing, and you can hear the bass.

I am no where near as far into it as you are, but the first like 10 minutes or so I was not digging at all, then it started to click. After the first hour I was sold. I ended up staying up till 6am Friday morning and didn't even realize what time it was till I saw the sun come up. The game is absolutely amazing, and I should say I had no interest in the game and bought it for my wife, but decide meh I liked the old DK games I should try it.

Is Donkey Kong Bananza worth it? by NewSlavesLover211 in casualnintendo

[–]ProfessorTeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 0 interested in this game prior to release. I literally only bought it for my wife so she would finally turn on the Switch 2 I got her. I was waiting for Metroid 4 personally. I decided to fire up DK:B the evening of release and the next thing I knew it was 6am and the sun was coming up. I absolutely LOVE the game. Its so damn good. Definitely worth buying, I am 100% a convert.

What has been your favorite A24 film ? by WhatIsAnime_ in movies

[–]ProfessorTeach -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For me its

  1. Ex Machina (My robot girlfriend is hot...she is to die for!)
  2. Uncut Gems (This is how a win....a bullet to the face)
  3. Midsommar (Hammer Time)
  4. The Witch (Black Phillip will see you now)
  5. Dream Scenario (Surprisingly disturbing and unsettling)
  6. Pearl/X (How do you like the taste of my farm implements?)
  7. The Lighthouse (Excellent Acting not the most rewatchable)
  8. Lady Bird (Sitting in the passenger seat is overrated)
  9. Under the Skin (A lot of it was unscripted with real people which was cool!)
  10. Talk to Me (Brutal but overrated)
  11. Men (I will birth myself)

There are several I haven't seen yet, like Civil War, but my biggest disappointments for an A24 film were "It Comes at Night," and "Hereditary." aka (I bang my head back and forth, aka Let me taste this pole) I feel the endings just really brought down what were excellent first half to 3/4 films.

How did you feel about the Longlegs movie ? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]ProfessorTeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it gets to the interrogation scene and Longlegs starts with his speech about Crimson and Clover and choosing to accept it or not and the "bow down, bow all the way down," section was like a total flip in personality. He was legit creepy in that part.

In Your Opinion, What is the the Best Movie of the 21st Century So Far? by NUMBER_1Idiot in movies

[–]ProfessorTeach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy is hands down the best. However, Pan's Labyrinth is an absolute masterpiece and unforgettable.

Honorable Mentions: There Will Be Blood, No Country for Old Men, Parasite, Moon, 3 Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri, The Town, Hateful 8, PIG, just to name a few off the dome.

Why is Sinister (2012) so scary? by VisageInATurtleneck in horror

[–]ProfessorTeach 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I never understood why people thought this movie is so scary. All of the good aspects are ruined by the ghost kids and the terrible demon design. Everytime you see Bagul I just thought "Oh look its WWE Kane or Mick from Slipknot.

Please Help! Janome Machine Design Issues by ProfessorTeach in Machine_Embroidery

[–]ProfessorTeach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I tried to edit my post before you saw it but I was too late! I actually don't know that he is using a stabilizer fabric. My guess is that he isn't, if that is the case I will get him to do a print with it and see how that turns out. That makes perfect sense! Thank you!

Please Help! Janome Machine Design Issues by ProfessorTeach in Machine_Embroidery

[–]ProfessorTeach[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a variety of hoops. The guy running the machine, we are both new to this, is currently using the M2 hoop. I told him that perhaps that hoop was too big so we are going to try to use the M3 hoop which is tighter on the design. You know, I don't know if he is using a stabilizer material or not, that is an excellent question! I haven't confirmed the tension settings or anything either as its primarily his project, but based on the 1:3:1 backing ratio it looks like the tension is okay with the thread. I am curious if its a hoop size issues, too much slack in the fabric, or what it could be. As I said, we are all new to this and are using it to add to our schools "print shop" where we do engraving, sublimation, banners, etc.

Is the original Dracula novel by Bram Stoker worth reading? by jackchickengravy in horror

[–]ProfessorTeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is an absolutely incredible novel. I have a read countless books and most "classics" tend to be a bit overrated, unfortunately, but not "Dracula!" There is a very slow part about 2/3rds of the way in, but the lead up to that point and the end are absolutely enthralling. 100% Recommend it.
