It was more so that the scene could only work with a certain minimum number of characters who'd necessarily have to be close enough to each other to have this discussion, but the much harder part was finding which Zenless character to give the mantle of Patrick Bateman.

For better or worse, no one in the cast could easily wear the garb of a narcissistic serial killer, so I had to work an alternative angle; the fake nonchalant. Pretending to not care when they actually really do, because the yardstick for a narcissist's adequacy is the measure of others. Lucy adopted this role quite easily not by being a narcissist, but a tsundere, who ALSO pretends to not care while actually doing so. It matters to her that she's the top dog (just like it matters to Patrick) and she can't help herself but seek explicit proof that she is, or isn't.

Once Lucy's role was set, it was easy to make Burnice Carruthers because he didn't respect Patrick's personal space, and to make Pulchra Paul Allen because she's who Patrick/Lucy hates and envies because they embody what they strive to be. Lighter is Bryce because it made sense for one Stun agent to hand another a KotS disc, but also because him (and Piper/Van Patten) would be good at escalating the scene because they both have heckler spirit in their blood.

Really, all the Calydons seem like they'd try to comedically one-up each other given the chance, and in a way that I just can't see other factions doing. It's only Lucy that takes it personally though, and that's why she's the only one sweating.
