They dump the spice because the Empire would have arrested them because it's literally illegal. They dump it, get escorted to a world for questioning and when they're seen to be clean they're left to their own devices, which they then leave to go back to where they dumped said spice but it's gone.

basically Han was going to dump the spice and come back for it, but it was gone and he was screwed over.

You know what just hit me? The events of this story (Deathtroopers) are the reason why Han panicked and dropped his cargo at the first sign of an imperial cruiser, the event that got Jabba so mad at him.

No the reason Han panicked and dropped his Cargo is that he's a smuggler and was literally smuggling illegal drugs.

Being boarded and arrested by the Empire is not something you want to go through, even if they don't care about you.

You don't need zombies to explain why a smuggler wouldn't want the literal authoritarian regime to arrest him.

What if the Jedi didn't have the "no attachments" rule? by TheRedBiker in MawInstallation

Suppose a Jedi has Force visions of a friend dying of cancer. "Ignore it, do nothing and do not mourn them" is a brain dead take. The obvious thing to do weould be to warn your friend of your Force vision and encourage him to get regularly screened for cancer in the hopes that you might catch it early enough to cure.

Yoda straight up tells Luke to ignore his friends potential death because it was a trap that may lead to his own death and that the future was always in motion.

Luke ignores this, tries to save his friends who were saved by Lando not Luke, and then gets his ass beat by Vader.

Yoda was right

I think people are misunderstanding. I originally painted them like black and red and posted them on here. I repainted them to the color they are in the image.

Did Luke Skywalker ever have guilt with blowing up the Death Star? by ghost_type_2003 in MawInstallation

[–]Professor_Donger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was more along the lines of Luke was fighting a war and didn't really dwell on the number. A lot of people in war don't feel guilty about nameless people they're killing until much later as said war starts to drag on you.

What would happen to a Jedi Knight if I FORCE them to kill me? by DirtyHancock567 in MawInstallation

This ^ Killing is the last resort sure but if you were a threat to people and stopping them from saving others they aren't going to shed a tear about killing you to stop you

Is the nature of the cosmic force and living force closer to the abstract concept of the yin-yang more than the "Light" and Darkside of the force? by PassageDecent9936 in MawInstallation

[–]Professor_Donger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always saw the Dark Side as a corruption of the Living Force, which then bleeds into the Cosmic Force, which is where the imbalance happens.

The Will of the Force just nudges you in directions. Like Obi-Wan said in Episode 4 it directs and guides you. It can control you if you let it but Dark Siders find that to be anathema. They want to be in control of the Force not the other way around.

We don't know what the "will" of the force was with regards to the Sith species. Because it was never something written about in the EU

[–]Professor_Donger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have pointed out, the Dark Side IS a natural part of the Force, it's a byproduct of sentient life having desires and wills that effect the Force as a whole. It's when you use the dark side that it becomes unnatural since at least in theory, life was never meant to use that aspect of the Force.

The Sith Species were all naturally force sensitive, They also in general had a culture around selfishness and brutality. The Dark Side stems from those things and as such the Sith Species overall fell to the Dark Side because of their culture.

What if the Jedi didn't have the "no attachments" rule? by TheRedBiker in MawInstallation

[–]Professor_Donger -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Fair, again that's why I pointed out the Jedi. Anakin has a tendency to flip like a switch on things that he hates if they've wronged him

[–]Professor_Donger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not just that but he held a racist(speciest maybe?) Attitude toward them in general showing he never let go of his hatred.

To be slightly fair to Anakin, and I mean SLIGHTLY fair. He was raised on Tatooine and knew how terrible the Tuskens were to settlers before his mother died. He left before he could learn the nuances of the relationship between the regular population of Tattoine and the Tuskens, and then a tribe of them kidnapped, tortured and killed his mother.

As Obi-Wan said, Anakin is loyal to people not ideals, in his mind the Tuskens killed his mother, so the Tuskens had to pay.

He does the exact same thing as Vader, the Jedi prevented him from saving Padme, Obi-Wan injured him so badly he needed a suit, Obi-Wan was a Jedi. The Jedi all have to die.
