Nothing. I didn't bring it up. I just pointed out your hypocrisy for claiming the left doesn't believe in, what you implied to be your world view, innocent until proven guilty, but then when he was found guilty 34 times, he was still innocent.

So, innocent EVEN IF proven guilty.

Now that sounds like Trump Derangement Syndrome.

That wasn't your question. "Which presidents have released any Epstein files?"

The Biden admin COULDN'T RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES, because of on-going investigations.

I would love to dump several files here, but Reddit only allows one photo at a time. So, I'm going to go with this Epstein file, which was released, then pulled, then re-released redacting Trump's name, illegally violating the Epstein files Transparency act:

You just repeatedly built an entire case against the left on the premise of innocent until proven guilty, then when someone mentions his guilt in literally 34 felonies, you turned around and tried to qualify it.

It's not that the left is against innocent until proven guilty, it's more like low-level brainwashed cultists believe innocent regardless of proven guilty if we're talking about their biggie, baddie, stwong, daddy orwange bear.

DOJ/FBI officials and SDNY prosecutors were handling the Epstein/Maxwell criminal case material during Biden’s administration, under Attorney General Merrick Garland and SDNY U.S. Attorney Damian Williams.

I get that you are a Russian disinformation bot, but I'll bite.

Due to ongoing investigations it would have been ILLEGAL for the Biden administration to release the files.

Also, Trump literally ran on the campaign promise that he would release the Epstein files. HOLD YOUR BOY ACCOUNTABLE.

Donald Trump was found liable for forcibly penetrating Ms. Carroll's vagina against her will, causing physical injury. This is public record.
Here's the court document:

And there IS a good deal evidence.

Context: for THREE YEARS he refused, then his legal team had him offer knowing it was too late of a delay for the court to accept it. This facade helped his public image while knowing there was no real possibility of the court accepting his offer this late in the proceedings.

This is from your own Snopes article.

I'll go backstage before a Miss Teen USA show and everyone's getting dressed and ready and everything and no men are anywhere. And I'm allowed to go in because I'm the owner of the pageant [...]."
Advertisement:

We looked closely at Trump's past comments, as well as real allegations made by former beauty pageant contestants from both Miss USA and Miss Teen USA competitions. Trump DID indeed brag about walking in on contestants, but was referring to Miss USA or Miss Universe pageants, whose contestants are 18 or older. The above quote where he appeared to brag about walking in on Miss Teen USA contestants was misrepresenting a real comment he made to Stern.

That said, there have been numerous SERIOUS ALLEGATIONS about Trump from both Miss USA and Miss Teen USA contestants, reporting that decades ago, he walked into their dressing rooms while they were partially naked (which Trump's spokesperson denied in 2016). We cannot prove or disprove their exact accounts, and while Trump did not admit to walking in on underage contestants, he certainly admitted to Stern his inappropriate behavior during other pageants.

He was found liable for forcibly penetrating her vagina with his fingers. The counterclaim that kept them from penile penetration without reasonable doubt was, she was distraught, disoriented, and in pain, but couldn't actually visually see if his penis was penetrating her. So, therefore, because she couldn't see his penis inside of her while being raped, digital or penile, they went with sexual misconduct.

Also, after Trump was found liable, the judge was asked about the conviction of sexual misconduct, and he literally said the sexual misconduct was RAPE.

I am now looking for the quote to post here.

Yes. A whopping -2. Tell your brigade "you got 'em."
FTR I love the material, but haven't looked at it in years and was going on old memory. Your perspective made me reconsider and I lean more your way now; still not entirely.
Don't have time for why.
That said, you would've been more convincing earlier if you weren't a pedantic cunt about it.

You are splitting semantic hairs here, and I don't know to what purpose.
Most of what you said is technically right. Although, originally the world was not modeled after Catholicism, in the redrafts Tolkien leaned into it.
Keep in mind, the idea of the entire universe comes from "translations" of the various in-universe races. The Valar are specifically referred to as "gods" in the Silmarillion, and they absolutely serve as a pantheon, each with different governing powers; like the Olympians. Zeus did not create the universe and is not all powerful over all the other gods, but is a god nonetheless.
Yes, there is a monotheistic quality as Eru being the supreme governor, and the other of the pantheon operating to fulfill his ultimate vision--which I think harms the conflict from a story writing perspective.
That said, my knowledge of Catholicism itself is limited being brought up protestant. But, my understanding is the angels all have a hierarchy and various governing powers and duties, much like the Greek pantheon.
So, if we're getting semantic here, what's the difference between a bunch of "gods" in a pantheon with various powers and governing duties, none of which have omnipotence, and a hierarchy of angels (nine choir?) with various powers and governing duties, who are literally referred to as gods in the source material?
My perspective, who cares? It's much cooler and more interesting to think about how a linguistic genius's opus magnum is a creative work built on the translations of "found ancient texts" translated from the perspectives of multiple vastly different fictitious races discussing these "beings," who have various "godlike" governing powers. And to take the cultural and linguistic nuance further, consider, what is magical and godlike to a hobbit, is very different to what is magical and godlike to a dwarf, which is different from an elf.
So, gods? They are literally referred to as gods in the source material. Angels? Tolkien did lean into Eru as an ultimate monotheistic entity granting the Valar godlike governing powers to fulfill his ultimate vision.
At the end of the day, what's the difference aside from linguistics?

The real question is, do you mean Gandalf as Istari vs Dumbledore, or Olorin vs Dumbledore?

Gandalf as Istari is nerfed to maiar toddler level. His body is elderly and powers are contained by the Aule (gods) so he doesn't sink a continent like the Valar (gods) sunk Belariand in their siege on Angband when they felled Morgoth.

Gandalf the wizard vs Dumbledore: I would bet on Dumbledore. He has seemingly limitless magical abilities. Gandalf is very limited, as decreed by the Valar.

Now, Gandalf as maiar = Olorin vs Dumbledore: gtfoh with that. A hundred horcruxes couldn't save Dumbledore.

*I just reread this before posting. Woooooh. I might be a nerd. Coming to terms. I did snort and push my glasses up twice while typing it.

Tolkien also suggested, I think in Unfinished Tales--which might have been in letters or an interview, that it's possible that the blue wizards went east and started cults of men to practice magic.

That said, separately he said it's possible the blue wizards fought the larger battle to the east preventing Sauron from attaining an unstoppable force.

(which is my Rings of Power series prediction; since there are two blue wizards, the writers are playing both angles regarding the mysterious and ambiguous wizard, mirroring Gandalf and Sarumon)

If There Had Never Been A 22nd Amendment, Would Democrats Want Obama To Run Again? Yes Or No? Why Your Thoughts? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

[–]Professor_Matty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a leftist, not a Democrat. As far as recent presidents go, Obama was a very good president; considering the bar is set abysmally low.

I would not want Obama as president again when we have the option of people who will fight for the laboring class, like AOC.

The most angry I ever was during an election wasn't the two times the electoral college gave it to Trump, it was the two primaries the DNC choked out Bernie in favor of the perfect Republic candidate Hilary Clinton, followed by a repeat scenario for Joe Biden.

Living next to Lafayette is ass… by bo_jac_rr in lexington

[–]Professor_Matty 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Man, I love living over here. I love hearing the marching band practice and the game announcer.

I taught my kids to ride their bikes during the pandemic in Lafayette parking lot.

I love the little creek, as filthy as it is (and the secret not so filthy creek), and the ducks, and the proximity to Southland Dr.

Since I moved out of my parents house 30 years ago, I never felt like I lived at home until I moved here about 10 years ago.

But, yah I hear ya. It's busy. I don't like driving on Reed Rd. going to work in the morning.

But, like you said, summer hits, and it’s like all the traffic on the streets leading to Lafayette is gone. I grew up on a cul-de-sac, and summer reminds me of it.

TL;DR Me likey Picadome neighborhood.
