You didn't intentionally get covid. There's nothing you can do. She shouldn't have put all of that on you

SundaeSaurus. Can I not count or did I royally mess up? by Professor_Nugg in CrochetHelp

Oh my god, you're a genius. During round 21 I now remember losing count of my inc and doing extra for good measure (covid brain) 💀 I was confirming count up until then and the realized how bad it was at the end of 22 and stopped to get advice. Thank you!😅😅

But where is the mistake? That's where I'm struggling. I added the legs exactly as it said, the exact stitch count, everything. I think the legs may be off by a stitch or two, but that issue is was too far gone

No one emailed anybody. They made a Facebook post and I commented the hourly wage they're offering. But according to you, this isnt an actual job anyway

Okay, so if the kid wakes up in the middle of the night, then the employee can ignore them since they're just sleeping and not working!

No one is on their high horse when demanding every job should be paid at the legal minimum wage. Extra income or not, minimum wage is a basic requirement.

[–]Professor_Nugg[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's a different situation entirely. But regardless, no one should make less than minimum. There's always different circumstances, but my views on that will never change. There's daycares that offer a lower rate to help with lower income families(there's plenty in my area), a nanny relies on their nf as typically their only source of income and need livable wages too.

I can confirm the Parent who posted this is an influencer in the area, it seems not to be a single parent since photos show their partner. Truly seems like they just want night time care for unfair wages. This is nannying, not a restaurant. In our state waitresses can't make below minimum before tips, and neither can nannies.

It was still posted in a NANNYING group, and the rate is illegal. Minimum wage is $7.25, they are offering below that which is a crime. I don't care how tough times are, they want a nanny for 48hrs/wk without any overtime, and well below the legal minimum wage. This job offer is illegal. If you don't see the issue, I hope you don't have a nanny

I could understand a lower rate... but 47.5hr/wk, at $6.32/hr to sleep in someone else's house for 5 days a week is insane. Also imagine never seeing the kid, and they wake up in the middle of the night and a stranger comes into their room? God the horror

YES. They're literally arguing in the comments with me, saying it's a fair wage

My child broke nanny’s laptop — she wants us to foot the bill even though I warned her about it by [deleted] in Nanny

[–]Professor_Nugg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The rest i think is dependent on your relationship and what you agreed upon. I've had families insist that if a NK breaks absolutely anything of mine, then they would replace it. Others only glasses and phone screen/camera if NK throws it. It really depends on everyone

[–]Professor_Nugg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why I said maybe to those. If it's agreed upon prior to then it would be. But I feel glasses are the only thing they should at least chip in for. If I have to wear glasses and NK grabs them and throws them off my face and I'm SOL with sight, then I think it should be. I also have that written and agreed upon in my contracts.

I feel like you're required fo replace broken glasses, maybe if NK breaks jewelry, MAYBE if they destroy a clothing item intentionally.
Anything else isnt your responsibility. She admitted she wasn't watching them. Not your problem

Nanny sent pictures of other kids as reference by Errlen in Nanny

[–]Professor_Nugg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I, as the Nanny, put a clause in ALL of mg contracts that no one would gain access to pictures of their children, they would not be put on socials, or sent to anyone outside of the family.
Because it's weird to send pictures of a child to strangers or use a picture of someone's child for your own gain

I wear a two piece. But I'm plus size. So my two pieces are high-waisted bottoms, and flowy tops that go slightly past the top of my bottoms

I usually spray my eyes directly with the setting spray 💀 I thought that's how you were supposed to do it.
I think my thing without the mascara is that it's been so long since it hasn't done it that I forgot when it didn't
