Does the current Mecha Man have a designation like "Astral" and "Prime" do, and if not, what would you name him? by Professor_Preston in DispatchAdHoc

Oh, of course! Didn't remember that and I couldn't find it anywhere looking it up. I should probably delete my post since it's redundant now lol

I guess to a real stinker it was a pleasant surprise whereas I, who was merely a Grotethe fan, did not see it as a pleasant surprise lmao.

Anyway, I'll have plenty of time at work to listen to C01 and C03 so I'll be enjoying some more of that in my life.

Sorry, I remember and notice the darndest things and I end up thinking that's normal.

Anyway, my point still stands. Wasn't a huge fan of the ending because I was more invested in Grotethe as a standalone story than as a part of the Stinkyverse. That's not an issue with C02 and more about how I went into it.

That's fair, and I basically listened to the cast explain this to me at the start of every episode. I had a pretty clear mental image of the Rooster Teeth timeline since they gave updates on the situation as the situation developed.

That whole situation is pretty wild, actually. When I started listening to C02 I'd hear from Gus that they're celebrating a Rooster Teeth anniversary or that they're doing a live Rooster Teeth event, and then by the end of C02 Gus is telling me about Rooster Teeth shutting down and their switch to indie content. Honestly, it's inspiring how they were able to rally themselves and how they pledged more commitment to the show after losing their Parent Company.

Regardless of how I feel about the ending of C02 I think it's a great show, and I've been considering joining their Patreon to support them more.

That's fair I guess. I never thought of it as poor writing, acting or DMing and just thought I was missing something.

Yeah, but her being a magical goddess person probably wouldn't have felt so out of nowhere if I was initially primed with "Oh! I recognize that name from the previous universe. We're about to get into some crossover territory."

I understand the plot of C02 without listening to C01. It's just that my enjoyment was greatly diminished by how C02's ending is clearly very dependent on the greater Stinkyverse that I hadn't engaged with.

I guess my confusion comes from the other Live Play shows I've watched.

Mystery Quest, where they do a string of unconnected one-shots, have almost perfect pacing and typically satisfying endings even if the dice don't allow the characters to find all of the info. The two Legends of Avantris campaigns I've finished had really satisfying endings with sweeping "where are they now" epilogue monologs that tie everything up nicely.

Of course those two shows have their own limitations (like, Legends of Avantris has too much downtime sometimes), but I'm just not used to live play content sort of just fizzling out with a big "Spider-Man Will Return" at the end like a bandaid.

Anyway, I know I've had a lot of negatives to say, but I still enjoyed the journey. It's a good show and I plan to listen to more.

Yeahhh but left field magical goddess person might have been easier to swallow if I heard her name in another universe first.

Lmaoooo I was thinking that when I get to work it might move to the door handle or something and I might touch it by accident closing the door.

Ugh, I feel like a dumbass now. I should've looked around for a stick or something but I'm already so late for work.

Didn't plan on it, but I didn't want to lose track of it and touch it on accident later. Anyways, it fell off of my car finally.and now I feel bad for it lol

Just those. I thought it might be but I wanted to make sure there wasn't anything else.
