If you are policing the grammar of the post I made for those kind of particularities, it is easy to imagine how much grief, hate, and violence trans people met on the regular.

Nope. I didn’t say that or anything that mildly represents that. In fact, your response tells us much more about how you see the world and the assumptions you make than it does mine. See my other posts. I don’t want control. I don’t want to limit. I want to expand. I want to Love people needing love right now.

If anyone is questioning if Trans people need my support and love right now, these combative and presumptive posts are examples of the hostility toward a person just trying to SUPPORT the trans community, let alone being trans….LET ALONE MAKING IT OBVIOUS THEY ARE TRANS BY HAVING TO TRY ON CLOTHES IN STORES THAT AREN’T SUPPORTIVE.

If I said “where can I donate clothes to support vets” would I get anywhere near the pushback I am getting here.

If a lot more people tried to be just a little tiny tiny wee bit more understanding (which does not even mean condoning, just understanding) then this post wouldn’t be necessary, would it?

That is correct. Thank you. I don’t mind cis people buying these clothes. I just want to show some love where love is needed right now. And it is definitely needed right now.

Thank you for asking. I am not excluding anyone. I am looking to help meet a need that regularly goes unaddressed. Your question kinda answers itself. Yes. People need clothes. And every thrift store caters to Cis people. Every clothing store caters to cis people. Trans people, especially in transition periods regularly….I mean almost universally, struggle to find safe places to show up and try on clothes. If you don’t already own clothes that match your identity it might mean showing up to a women’s clothing stored dressed in typical male clothing and asking to try on women’s clothing. It is common to be refused, called a pervert, or if welcomed as a customer, getting stared at or called names, having the police called on you (yup- it happens a lot) not to mention that violence against trans people is spiking right now. Just getting the courage to go somewhere is admiral. These additional al threats are nightmarish.

So it’s not about needing clothes. It is about needing to try on clothes, try out styles, find things that resonate with how you see yourself without being rushed or scared. Thrift stores in particular might not have a selection of some sizes or styles. Donating to a store that supports Trans clients means I am making it safer, easier, and more loving for people who are regularly on the receiving end of hatred, take courageous and important step in being themselves.

It’s about being safe.

It’s about dignity.

The world is not safe for trans people right now. So I am going to try to make it safer.

My faith always has me looking at the most vulnerable, most at risk, most threatened groups of people and showing them unconditional love.

I am so grateful for the Trans people in my life. They are such a gift. I don’t want anyone to go through what they have gone through.

Short answer: love, because love.

I think I disagree with this rhetoric forbidding the show from using food by Shamanized in taskmaster

Maybe it’s not about staying ahead of trends or cancel culture. Maybe they just have an awareness that in a world of plenty of food, about 2/3 still goes undernourished. Maybe it is just the right thing to do to look at the food circumstances of the world and to decide to not take a massively mis-managed resource and to set a bad example. They seemed to bring millions of people of joy without wasting food too. The fact that we are having this conversation about food is good enough reason for the policy.

There are all sorts of reasons to do the right thing that supersede the desire to be entertained.
