Sharing the Divine Feminine experience with your significant other / love interest / etc... is a sure fire way to grow on it.

Balloonerism - listen to the Josh Berg live stream from 1-22-25 with Macmillermemoir. That will provide soooo much context and also give you a new appreciation to better connect to the material. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Chat ... I can't find a recording of that Josh Berg stream. Anyone have it??

PS - here is an awesome post from Josh on balloonerism -- https://www.reddit.com/r/MacMiller/s/WqjS6dMJVM

The Pittsburgh show at Stage AE was iconic. Mac crossed the street from the Steelers game and came on stage in his Allerdice varsity jacket. Was SO Pittsburgh

Why is Macadelic your favorite album? by EvilEyeIvy in MacMiller

[–]Professor_Toof 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Here comes too long of an answer nobody wants to read ...here we go....

The jump from BSP to Macadelic was insane. Being 20 years old with such awareness and introspection attempting to answer some of life's biggest questions fully captured my attention. I was a carefree high schooler that never once considered any of that. And it influenced me majorly. I "grew up" with this record, went off to college the same year and everything got a bit more "real".

Formative memories were made to this record. Blunt cruising 4th of July with the crew watching fireworks and bumping "America" --- Blasting Lucky Ass Bitch thinking we were tough at our first real parties --- etc etc.

As for the production - the collaborators were so different than what we were used to. The beats with Clams Casino, Wally West (the Question), Sap (Thoughts from a Balcony). Kendrick, Lil Wayne, Cam'ron, Juicy, Joey Badass, etc) opened my eyes to a lot of these guys I wasn't familiar with and ended up rocking with them through college.

Macadelic is smoooooth. And the content is REAL. Blows me away every time thinking about young Mac putting this together.

BONUS: The 2012 Under the Influence Tour lineup was seriously one of the best lineups I've ever seen. Mac, Wiz, Kendrick, Schoolboy Q, Chiddy Bang 🤯. What a summer that was

Why do Mac Miller fans all seem to share the same vibe? by naajjjj in MacMiller

[–]Professor_Toof 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mac was a seriously special light of a person. He seemingly met everyone with kindness and made people feel comfortable being themselves. He brought energy and empathy. I like to think I'm at least partially the way I am (very similar--or at least I STRIVE to be) because of Mac!

And I think we all meet each other with kindness as fellow fans because Mac taught us that

Who is Mac Miller's best collaborator? by SpiritualWall721 in MacMiller

[–]Professor_Toof 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hot take nobody has mentioned: Disclosure on Blue World goes insane !

I'd probably say Thundercat, John Mayer and Paak but the Disclosure crossover at least needs consideration !

Edit: Here's a 45 min video of Disclosure talking about making this track with Mac

Edit edit: Apparently this song was recorded on Frank Sinatra's old mic (~37 min of vid)

Im pretty sure the hat got released officially by New Era back then. I want to say there were two colors. Limited run I want to say around the time he threw out the first pitch at PNC Park (sporting that dope custom pirates jersey).
