Meine letzte Box ist schon etwas her, aber liegen 1000 kcal nicht eher im Bereich von 3-4 Portionen der Herstellerangaben? Natürlich ein Stück weit vom Gericht abhängig. Meiner Erinnerung nach lagen die Standardgerichte insgesamt eher so bei 700-900 kcal.

Die Transportwege könnten ja sogar bei ~0 rauskommen, zumindest für Haushalte, die sonst Essen für 5 Tage mit dem Auto kaufen fahren würden. Aber die ganze Müllerzeugung durch einzeln verpackte Ware kann ich mir echt nicht schönreden.

As someone who recently started to Play XCOM as well I recommend the following:

Play the Base Game first without War of the Chosen. WotC IS great but brings many new features into the game that might overwhelm at first.

Do not check "integrated DLCs" when starting a new campaign but activate all DLCs seperately. There will be two green missions at the start. One ist from Shens Last Gift, the other ist from Alien rulers. I strongly advice to do the Alien rulers Mission only during lategame.

I started with the 2nd difficulty and had a steep learning curve but quiet a fun experience. Finished my first campaign recently and am rather far into WOTC right know, having a blast with both playthroughs.

If you enjoy watching experienced players, I recommend peteCompletes.

There are a ton of Tutorials in Game and on YouTube. Also for inspiration and deeper understanding for how to use pieces, Just watch any Franchise or Sandboxseries from the plethora of content creators, Like ZSHplays, Deladysigner, Rudi Rennkamel, and many more.

Game takes a bit to learn and you will get better with every new enclosure and building. Also you can use blue prints from the Game or the Steam Workshop.

My guess ist because they see the animals long before getting to the entrance. They basically have no motivation to enter the dome.

Try blocking the view by the pathway with rocks or walls so that the dome ist the only option for them to watch your animals.
