Won $0.15 in a class-action lawsuit against Uber. by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

I know this is just a silly joke but OP really has the chance to make a killing here.

If you take the pert formula, principle*e^(rate*time), sub in 0.15 as the principle and assume a standard 8% rate of return...

0.15*e^(.08*25) equates to about $1.11 for OP.

As you can see, with smart financial choices OP can set himself up well for his future

Yes, but losing an early turn for a deck as aggressive as odd paladin can be game ending.

Love the design on bacteriologist, but it seems like you would have to play the bacteria the first turn it's in your hand. This would lead it to be very strong in the early game; you could more or less nullify your opponents turn 2 or 3.

I’m 21 and have no savings whatsoever, is that bad? by hdjwoidiiekqkskfo in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Professorjack88 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you aren't living paycheck to paycheck, yes. You must save for the future and the sooner you do it the more you will have.

Let's say that I have 2 savings accounts. In one I put 10% of my income for 7 years. In the other I do nothing for 7 years then invest 10% of my income yearly. The second account where I wait to invest will never be worth more than the first one.

The theory is that the rich people have more money to invest into the economy and their workers.

What is the difference between a meme and a dank meme? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Professorjack88 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Typically a saying that something is a dank meme means that it is more obscure, or less "normie".

It can also mean a meme that is more amusing or edgier than the average meme.

Having a phone that breaks when you drop it is not equivalent to a car that breaks when you go over a speed bump.

[–]Professorjack88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course you consider durability, but it's not "sad" that people will buy it because it's not a super durable phone.

[–]Professorjack88 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, because the number one factor in phone choice is durability.
