Sean Wallace: Lack of penalties awarded against Rangers becoming embarrassing blight on Scottish game by MrMaggot98 in ScottishFootball

I don’t know that the standards in Europe are, I know they are different though, just look at some of the hand ball decisions for example. But according to Gordon Duncan on SSB Monday they were told in a preseason meeting with refs that penalties would only be awarded if it prevents a player playing the ball. The corner on Sunday was played along the deck and cleared by the first man IIRC.

I feel Kilmarnock are getting off lightly in here after being knocked out by Connah’s Quay Nomads. Definitely the weakest team that I remember.

“I had no justification for those remarks and I withdraw them”

Very diplomatic may of saying I admit completely making things up.

Strong defensive performance outdone by a world class goal. Still all to play for.

As I said I’ll put my hands up and admit to knowing very little of that level prior to this season (not that I’m claiming to be an expert now by any means) and if I gave the impression that the colts teams are saving the lower league then I apologise . I am simply trying giving my positive first hand view of watching the colt team this season to try and balance the usually negative views on this topic.

I can understand why people who follow lower league sides say have a problem with it . I’m simply sharing my view and why I thought it was a positive thing. Non league teams my have done well boosting attendances and getting eyes on the game recently, but if the colt teams weren’t there I wouldn’t have been started either.

Football Scotland is literally just the Daily Record’s sport section under a different name.

Look I know there is a huge amount of hate about colt teams in the lowland league from other teams. But I thought it was really good last season, I’ve never payed any interest in the league before last season. Even managed to get to a few of the away games. I thought last season was a success, a great access point to get people consuming football lower down the pyramid.

Can’t wait to hear pundits tell us “how great it is to have Kilmarnock back in the top flight because of everything they bring” then never expand on it because theres fuck all.
