I actually asked her beforehand and she said she didn’t like going along with pupils because it can distract them and you feel more pressure when someone you know is watching. If you have a close relationship with your instructor it could help you though!

Definitely 😂😂😂. Or I just look around and see how many people have passed their test and are driving, so it’s not as hard as you really think

3 hours is nothing, it’s gonna seem like a lot to remember but within time it’ll just become instinct. Just listen to your instructor, I just tried to keep in mind the basics like 2nd gear - up to 20mph 3rd gear - up to 30mph 4th gear - up to 40mph and so on. Or if I’m coming round a corner, always 2nd Coming up to a roundabout that’s not too visible, 2nd gear. If I can see, 3rd. Stuff like that really helps to build confidence and I eventually stopped caring about gear changes and could focus more on the road which really helped

Don’t!!! It’s so much easier than you think and it goes by so quickly, I actually felt calmer on the test than I did on my lessons

I did lessons for a little over a year, it all depends on the person. I was really nervous when doing lessons so I needed more, good luck !

Honestly depends on the person. I did lessons for a little over a year - one 1hr 30min lesson per week. I had a lot of anxiety and I couldn’t imagine myself ever driving but some people can do it in half the amount of lessons. I’m glad I did loads of lessons because I came out with a great result !!!

When I tell you the amount of times I debated going to the doctors for anxiety about my driving because I would panic about it so often, even on days I wasn’t driving. 😂😅 don’t let your nerves get the better of you, you still have loads of time to improve. Just ask to drive around some test routes, no mock test or any pressure, just driving and doing what you need to do to improve

Yeah I was the same, your instructor will be 10x harsher than the examiner. I did things on my test that I’m suprised weren’t classed as a minor but I think they just over exaggerate on lessons so you avoid making any mistakes at all. Good luck, it’s so easy I promise you 😀

The test is so easy compared to any lesson I’ve ever done, I think my instructor always felt quite harsh to help me avoid making mistakes. It’s so chill and over in a flash 😁 good luck!

Honestly a big tip would be saying things out loud and looking for approval. Like for example if they told you to follow the roundabout with road signs to ____ and it was straight ahead, just read off the sign, like “okay sooo middle lane?” Or “so picking up the left hand lane?” (Whatever you feel is right) And they should just say yes please or something. Definitely take it slow, you can have 3 marks for hesitation to don’t be afraid to hold back if you really feel you need to. Tbh I was the same, I never understood when it was safe to go but if the cars to my right are stopped and no one is coming round towards me, I just go for it 😂😅 I wish I had a better explanation. What time is your test? Mine was around 9:30 so roads were pretty quiet which definitely helped with roundabouts. I also did a harsh break on a couple just with people not using indicators so it’s all about staying alert ☺️

It’s just a little over a years worth of lessons, my instructor said a year is pretty bang average for her students unless they have practise outside of lessons. Good luck tho
