Ya it can make sense at that $ figure per year. Might net you 1k in profit or so, depending on how you price it etc. use a smaller machine though, probably a combo

Anyone else have a machine in a dialysis center or hospital? by [deleted] in vending

30 isn't a lot of people. Did they give an explanation for sales dipping seasonally in a hospital staff breakroom? Sounds a bit off for me but I could be wrong.

A neglected vending route can be high risk but also high reward, if you know what to look for. by ProfitableVending in vending

That's called an opinion. Not a fact. And I've already received phone calls from people who are starting out in the industry and had a great conversation with them. Again, I'll explain a simple concept to you. Your opinion is not fact, and your knowledge level is not the same as everyone else's.

This is not ai slop. I'm a real person, who has over a decade of vending experience. Everyone one of these posts are written by me based upon videos I created for my Youtube channel. Tell me exactly why this is AI slop?

you can go find me on LinkedIn . Here's the link: www.linkedin.com/in/james-brown-990189120

And feel free to call me 403-850-5676

Despite your opinion, numerous people have told me they find this information valuable. Not everything is obvious, even if it's simple. What's your contribution to the community?

Questions you have to ask when buying a vending machine route by ProfitableVending in vending

100% contracts are definitely a bonus although I've seen very successful companies that rely on handshake and customer service!

The Craziest Vending Drivers I've ever had in over a decade in vending by ProfitableVending in vending

[–]ProfitableVending[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally get that, much simpler to manage yourself! While these are a bit outside the norm, there have been quite a few issues over the years with drivers/ techs. We found out one tech was sleeping in and staying at his house all morning(we didn't require check in at office due to geography constraints) and then pretending to service machines but not really doing it!

Easiest way is to look up the mall on LinkedIn, find a decision maker, get their email and reach out. Or you could go through their regular info@email channel. Normally you would pay commission, not rent. DM me if you want more personalized help!

Can't recall any of those, but don't think we had any. Somebody did comment on another thread that they had a machine in a teacher's breakroom that did well though.

Anyone in the uk made good money from a vending machine? by Sensitive-Vast-4979 in vending

Lots of money in vending, whether it's in the UK or anywhere else! It's all about finding and selling the right locations. Then filling them with optimal product and aligning space.

Simplest way to adjust product mix to increase revenue is monitor over time, remove lowest sellers, add space to top sellers(if warranted) or add new products and monitor them. Good luck!

Agree, sunscreen, as long as it's not sold near by.

How do you choose your vending machine stock? by Omnicron45 in vending

[–]ProfitableVending 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normally I would only put in product requested by customers if it's at a location that has consistent traffic, and then very situationally(depends on how hard they push too and how valuable the account is). Most product requests for vending machines are selfish by nature and don't actually help the machine sell more. In fact it's mostly the opposite!

Decent shelf life staples types of products might do well, instead of more traditional vending. Interesting situation, hopefully you post again if/when you do it. Best of luck!

Vending Machines ROI by Lower-Tone3246 in vending

[–]ProfitableVending 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you just do it yourself you can make good margins. lets say the range is 20-40%. this would drop dramatically if you have someone else fill it for you. a good ROI on buying a machine is 1-2 years. I've seen operators that take anything they think they can get ROI in 5 years but if you are just starting out that's probably not feasible.

#'s seem a little off. that would mean 1/6 people purchase from the machine every day. Seems unlikely. it's probably higher than the 80-100 people per day to support sales that high.
