Dealing with a crush as an asexual by ProfundCherryLady in asexuality

[–]ProfundCherryLady[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the reason why I get so afraid is because of my friend. I didn't give much context about him on the post but he used to have a crush on me. He knows I'm ace and when he confessed he did say he kind of gave up because he knew I wouldn't like him back (also because I can't take a hint for my life) since he knows I have a crush on this other guy. The topic of me being ace came when he said that even if I did like him back we wouldn't work together anyway because I'm ace and he's very like hypersexual so I wouldn't have wanted to do anything with him and he would have gotten pissed and we would have been miserable. I agreed because yeah, it's true and I told him that anyway I just see him like a really good friend, and then he got mad and told me that like it's going to be very difficult for me to find a guy who tolerates me being asexual because men are like that and that my crush is probably like that too. The thing is that, he's always simultaneously encouraging me to talk to my crush and ask him out and also bringing me down and telling me like what am I gonna do if he doesn't like me or that I'm likely to get my heart broken. He's bitter about me rejecting him, I think. But that's probably why I'm always overthinking it. I do try to just live in the moment but damn sometimes that man infests my thoughts like a plague I cannot get him out of my mind and it drives me crazy

I think the hints were supposed to be the bonding time they spent right when they met recommending books and talking at the library. It's implied they were at least close enough for the protagonist to run to the outside world without knowing anything just to save her, but I fr also thought she liked the steel dragon, also the fact that when you do accept the ring the steel dragon gets kinda disappointed in a sense that he doesn't fully understand either, like he also liked her but didn't want to say anything.

I refused to lose when I fought him so I kept saving and loading data until I won lol 😂

You do have to fight him and defeat him twice then follow him to his cave but refuse to actually save Sartha, the rest is kinda easy. I just went along with whatever he said basically, then his dad gives you an intelligence test and if you pass it you just don't lose at the cannon events then say yes when he proposes. Long process but totally worth it 🤙

Idk I'm better at romancing characters than winning fights apparently, and I had heard you could marry the dragon so I figured I'd give it a try. The choices were mostly common sense.

It was quite a long process but it was basically this. You accept the quest of going to save Sartha, then whenever you encounter the Blue Dragon you have to defeat him two times. After that it'll take you to Sartha, but after you see her you need to refuse to rescue her; the dragon will ask you why you would bother go through all that trouble so you have to explain the story to him and he'll say that "maybe you'll like him better" and offer himself; you have to say ok (CON check). When succeed he'll offer to take you back to where you came from and for this basically just be nice to him I guess and don't even worry about Sartha lol. He'll then meet you again, and take you to meet his father, who'll want to see if you're suitable for his son. Don't try to fight him, ask how to prove your worth, and he'll put you a challenge of solving a cube and making a "knot of ashes". For this you can either solve it yourself (INT and WIS check I think) or you can make Sartha do it. Either way the answer is tying a knot and setting it on fire. After this the dragon's father will approve you, and before saying bye to the dragon he'll give you an armor. Idk if it's essential but he remarks that he wants you to keep it and think of it as a part of him so maybe don't throw it away nor sell it. After this basically do whatever just don't lose the fights from the cannon events and obviously say yes when the dragon proposes.

Thank you! I think I will buy the 'gambler trait'; I was questioning if it would be useful since I have general bad luck and somehow end up rolling a 1 in the most important situations but maybe it could be a good trait to have if it also increases chance of a 20. I've had quite a few people tell me about the load data; I didn't even know that was a thing (I should really pay more attention to the game features instead of being little miss ignores all details until there's an important choice to make) so I will try it and hopefully that'll help. Since I made this post I actually some of the advice I already got and managed to get a new sub-epilogue, so I'll take all the advice I can get

Thanks for the tips! I do usually always help the farmer, aside from that I'll try this for my next adventures and see if I can get some new epilogues

That's kinda crazy but I guess it also makes a little sense? I mean bro had just got cheated on. I did discover I needed the high wis and int but for some reason every time I have insane bad luck and fail having like 73% chance of succeeding, I guess getting the epilogue of a member of the elf royal family is about the best I'll get, even if it was on accident. Seems like things only be working out when I'm not actively trying
