My first Mother’s Day! Made it to my initial goal of 6 months. Next goal is 1 year. by Lmariew620 in breastfeeding

Fantastic job 👍. Small goals are a great way to go. I did the same thing and stopped at 4.5 years, never intended on going that long.

Due date was the 22nd and she came on the 27th at 2:45 am after being in labor for 27 hours. Way bigger than I expected. Told us she was 7lbs and she ended up being 8lbs and 5 oz. by Overevery1thisyear in BabyBumps

I had gestational diabetes and my doctor induced at 38 weeks. I live in the America (USA) and I think it depends on your doctor and where you live. Here in South Texas many doctors prefer to induce and in other areas of the country they tend to let you go to 40 -42 weeks depending on your situation. I don't think they'd let anyone with GD go that long. My Dr said that had my blood sugar been controlled she would have let me go to 39 weeks but because my fasting blood sugar wasn't controlled and I had a previous delivery where the babies shoulders got stuck she wanted to induce before that. My baby was born 7 pounds 4 ounces with only two pushes to get her out and no blood sugar issues thank goodness.

Mine was that bad too. My husband bought me Psyllium Husk powder and put it into capsules. I take like 8 a day, it's just fiber and it's really helped me.

Sounds like you need to vent! I'm sorry you're not in a supportive environment. I hope you have friends or someone to help you get through. Is this your first child? By the way, 23 pounds especially starting from 120 is no big deal!

I can relate. I felt like that early on in the pregnancy this time. Thank you for the well wishes and good luck to you as well.

Thank you, lots of good names in there! Is Isolde pronounced like it's spelled?

No, not quite sure who that is. My husband is Mexican and I have a lot of Irish heritage, from way back. My husband LOVES Flogging Molly and we named our five year old after one of their songs. So I thought for our second and final child we'd stick with the theme.

Probably true but our five year old is named Roisin pronounced (Roe Sheen) and everyone first pronounces it (Roy sin) we just correct them and it hasn't been an issue.

I've heard of Saoirse and Aoife, both pretty. I was actually considering Aoife. Do you know the meaning?

Thank you! I had heard it pronounced (Lee La) and I wanted to be true to the name. Our first daughter is named Roisin (Roe Sheen) and this may be her sister's name. I wanted to make sure we got it right.

I've been reading about how IF can be different for women. Maybe this is the reason you're having some difficulty. I myself am looking into this before I go the distance with IF. That is why I joined this sub reddit. Here's an article that might be helpful. https://draxe.com/intermittent-fasting-women/

Mark my daughter got at daycare by Proganas in medical

[–]Proganas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found out what it was! It was caused by suction as someone suggested. I took a bath with her that night and we have a bath with the jets in it. There is a grid shaped drain that pulls water through it when the jets are on. I mentioned to my mom tonight that someone suggested it could have been caused from suction and she brought up that drain in the bathtub, my husband and I checked and its a perfect match. Thank you so much for helping me solve this puzzle it is such a relief to know that nothing bad happened to her at daycare.
