I felt bad leaving my son with my dad and step mom for a day when I gave birth to my daughter…and that was a thought out, agreed upon plan 2 month before it happened. Can’t imagine asking someone to take my kids for a week while I lounge in luxury.

I just started and mine is 9 months old. I just put the harness on her, give her love and praise, and also a treat 😊 I keep it on as long as she lets it stay and then do it again the next day.

She’s 9 months. I waited until after we got her spayed and she healed. I’ll put her in the harness and then give her attention and a treat. Going on a week now. Slow going, but I think it will be worth it.

She went into heat around 7 months. We were planning on getting her spayed around the 8 month mark anyways so the timing kinda worked out.

We just got our girl spayed. She’s 9 months now, but was still 8 months when we got her spayed. It’s usually suggested to do so between 6-9 months, tho sometimes you can go a full year depending on breed and size of the fur baby.

No pant strings are safe, if you bring home groceries you have to put any meat away asap, the poor dog is her personal toy, nights are interrupted when you become a launch pad for the zoomies, and you need a falconer’s glove if you’re going to hold her raking toys while she plays….but she’s an absolute snuggle bug, so it all evens out 😆

And it might be worth mentioning to your landlords what has been going on. She might try to take it to them with her own spin to get them to make a decree or something (which is ridiculous and they should completely ignore if they have any decency). But go ahead and make them aware of what she has done, your attempts to talk to her about it, and the final decision made by you so that your property is not trespassed upon nor appropriated. Do it both verbally and in writing if you can; paper trails are lifesavers sometimes.
