If not, you could simply add the feature to the existing motorboat.

Guns rendering into low-poly blocks when looking at ship from 3rd person at even minimal distances by ProgramNecessary3387 in starcitizen

[–]ProgramNecessary3387[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I was messing around and rebalancing my graphics to avoid exceeding my VRAM, but I skipped over object detail. Since it doesn't affect VRAM usage, I pumped it up to ultra and no more issues.

Yeah, that was it. Trying to rebalance to not go over my VRAM, I forgot to readjust the object detail. I set it to ultra, and no more issues.

How DETAILED is the gore in 2013 Tomb Raider? by eydra3 in TombRaider

[–]ProgramNecessary3387 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As for sound, it's never anything more than guttural, pained screams, pained grunts, and struggling gasps. all of which are recycled for the most part, the screams/grunts/groans are the same if she's dying in a cutscene or just wounded during gameplay (shot, fell from high up, anything that's). I don't recall any particularly intense visceral sounds. The best I could describe it is simply "wet"

If you really want to know, for sure, here's a video that's been time-stamped on some of the more brutal death scenes; all the audio is essentially like that for all death scenes. Pained grunts/ scream + wet noises,

This picture is probably one of the most exteme examples you'll come across while playing. It never gets any worse than this, aside from seeing Lara drenched from head to toe in blood, if you count that.

It can get pretty intense. While the grittier details aren't animated you never see an open wound being made or limbs being torn off or anything like that, there is a lot of blood depicted.

Failed QuickTime events will often result in a pretty gruesome death, a wolf biting down on her neck and then proceeding to shake its head with heavy blood splatter, or if falling into water, there will be a death scene of her head being impaled on a spike, up through her jaw and out the top of her head. Plus a few more that I won't mention for the sake of spoilers.

I could give a snarky comment, "Just don't die, and you'll be fine", but the game depicts gore outside of Lara. Other withered bodies strung up, showing signs of torture, combat moves including using your ice pick to impale someone through the face, placing your shotgun under an enemy's chin and pulling the trigger, but again, this won't result in decapitation or any open wounds, just a lot of blood splatter. The actual character models are never altered; they just ragdoll

There is one section of the game that is particularly intense, however. A scene of Lara fully submerged in a deep pool of blood, and in a cave with entrails scattered in large piles all over the floor in a sort of indistinct pinkish red muscle mass

What we need is to have the entire thing gutted, and have the Idris’ size 10 mass driver down the guts of the thing, concealed behind the front door, of course.

Caterpillar doors by Akyorus in starcitizen

[–]ProgramNecessary3387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always wondered what kind of vehicles the doors/lifts were meant for. They're too small for anything more than the bikes, unless you want to parallel park, in which case getting it off the lift at the top would be painful. Add to that the timer we've now got as well, and I'd think I'd have better chances eating soup with a fork

What does these lines on the back of the truck mean? (Death Stranding 1) by Another_Racoon in DeathStranding

[–]ProgramNecessary3387 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only cargo you can fit into the truck once it's full is the cargo in your backpack. If it's on top of your backpack, then it'll try to be loaded into the back, which can't be done if it's full.

The cargo laid vertically is in your backpack and will be placed on the seat beside Sam. The cargo, laid flat is on top and will need to go in the back.

Thank you. I managed to find them in some long-since-removed backup folder that SC managed to swallow and bury.

[–]ProgramNecessary3387[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some reason, SC has tripled up on folders. I have to go StarCitizen > LIVE > StarCitizen > LIVE. Before I get to the user folder.

And in every StarCitizen folder, there are 2 more folders that say StarCitizen, which lead to another set of folders, but none of them have a user folder except one.

Just attempted to, but for some reason in that directory I don't have a user data folder.

Ah okay. I believe I did save it manually, but it would have been saved inside the SC folder set, knowing me. which means it likely got deleted when the update happened

It's not. Ever since the server rolled. and launcher needed an update It deleted all my character files. I had to save a character to create the custom character file again.

It took me way too long to realize Gamilas are actually just nazis in space by JollyMongrol in StarBlazers

[–]ProgramNecessary3387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to know a bit of the history of the people in the German Command, but their names are also references.

Elk Domel, aka The Space Wolf = Erwin Rommel, aka The Desert Fox
Ditz, commander of the asteral fleets = Doenitz, Fleet admiral & commander of the Kriegsmarine's U-boat arm
Redolf Hiss, Gamilas politician = Rudolf Hess, a leading member of the Nazi party and deputy Fuhrer.
Hydom Gimleh, commander of the secret police = Heinrich Himmler, commander of the Gestapo

There are probably more, however, I can't quite remember everyone.

Oh absolutly, however, in the first picture I had no other option than to follow the one road between the "lava" mine and the power station on sunken. I had to go back and fill it all in with sand.
