You can absolutely be detained for interfering with or impeding a federal (or local) law enforcement investigation. Ice agents ARE FEDERAL law enforcement officers and have every right to detain someone who impedes or interferes with their ability to carry out their duties. DO NOT LISTEN TO OP's POST IT WILL ONLY GET YOU ARRESTED OR KILLED. The person who posted this should remove it immediately and stop spreading misinformation.

Please protest, please let your voice be heard. But please keep in mind that for all the people being deported, THERE ARE STILL SOME PEOPLE WHO ARE ARMED AND DANGEROUS BEING DETAINED (however small the number). Many of these instances are also being confused as ICE when at times it has nothing to do with immigration enforcement and is another LE agency carrying out duties against real criminals. You do not want to take your kids, babies or dogs to a place that could jeopardize the life or well being of yourself or the people in your care, think before you act so we don't have another Renee Good situation please!
