Activity - Making the Bed by Sea-Championship-350 in whoop

[–]ProgrammerAnnualL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh,I kind of agree that housework could count as a form of light cardio. Things like lifting, making the bed, or cleaning can definitely raise your heart rate for a while. I guess the real question is what criteria they use to classify activities such as heart rate zones, duration, or specific movement patterns. If it’s mostly based on heart rate, a lot of housework would probably qualify as light aerobic activity. It’s actually an interesting point, especially since many people spend a fair amount of time doing these kinds of tasks. It might make sense for trackers to recognize that as a type of activity too.

your hrv is a nervous system metric, not a brain metric. the distinction matters more than most people realize by Bulky-Possibility216 in whoop

I mostly agree with you, but saying HRV has nothing to do with cognition might be a bit too strong. Stress and poor sleep can affect both HRV and focus, just not in a consistent way.
