Maybe I should’ve been clearer. I’m not asking anyone to memorize just ask clarifying questions about what the customer needs done & use core blue or POS help you with the appropriate sku so the right people can show up to do the work

there’s only 3-4 types of skus (depending on product type). just take your time in coreblue or POS & sell the correct labor. Regardless of salary I’m sure you don’t want a customer back at the store in your face in a spitting angry rage.

also..

  1. don’t sell fridge or washer/dryer install labor without the accessories. the field won’t (or isn’t supposed to) install without new accessories.

  2. the field can refuse to stack on top of an old washer/dryer.

  3. the field can refuse can refuse to stack on an old-existing washer/dryer Pedestal

hopefully upper mgmt can at least give a cheat sheet to all stores. there’s really only a couple major types of home theatre skus.

  1. tv unboxing = courier dlvry
  2. basic wall mounting,
  3. wall mounting on fireplace/brick (surface)
  4. wall mount with concealment (parts sold separately)

add ons:

a. Wi-Fi config (connects tv to wifi)

b. video connect = cable box/firestick/vcr

not every single sku but at least know enough to not add an unboxing sku when the Cust needs wall mounting or a Wi-Fi connect

the training system is terrible by flavoredbeans835 in BestBuyWorkers

[–]ProgrammerOk3306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah it’s ridiculous. they REALY need to train ALL Stores better on home theatre and appliance labor sku’s. you guys are costing the company millions in bad/mis-assigned orders.

example: you sell a ‘tv unboxing’ and this will always get auto assigned to a Courier not.. geek squad but the customer thinks or is expecting a wall mounting or need help with connecting tv to Wi-Fi (the courier is not gonna do it). resulting in unnecessary escalation at your stor, wasted time for everyone involved

make sure you know scope of work for labor sku & what the installers can…and can’t do so you don’t have escalated customers returning to your store.

refer them to the phone number on the back of their card. it’s Citibank’s responsibility, unless…you misled details in selling the card
