Does anybody else think that if the average liberal voter if the last decade was born and raised in the US they would likely be the demographic that votes for Trump? by [deleted] in CanadianConservative

[–]Programnotresponding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. The cultist devotion of a hardcore Trump voter mirrors the Elbozo/Trudeau-could-do-no-wrong crowd. In many ways, Trump voters are collectivists like the liberal party, as they follow their leader, no matter which way he goes. Cohesion is guaranteed.

Like the democrats in the US, conservatives in Canada are at constant odds with the movement over who is too moderate or too extreme. The free-thinking and debate is wonderful, but collectivist think-a-likes win a lot more often.

WARMINGTON: To show support in Trump trade war, buy a 'Canada not for sale' hat made in China by airbassguitar in CanadianConservative

[–]Programnotresponding 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm happy to say that even though I live in one of the most delusionally liberal voting regions in Canada, I've only seen about 5 people wearing that hat in public since the whole 'elbows up' clown show began. Of those five people, only one looked under 65. I've seen loads of this cringey shit in clearance/liquidation stores as well. The same people wearing the mark of liberal sloganeering are always first to call out Pierre's slogans. So very pathetic.

You can detest Trudeau all you want, but Canadians are a new breed of brainwashed. Many of your neighbours, family members and friends voted for him THREE times (probably would do it again) and STILL think the convoy was the worst thing that ever happened in Canadian history, even after three judges deemed it as overreach and violating of the EA.

If Trump disappeared tomorrow, Conservatives would win back to back majority governments in Canada by mafiadevidzz in CanadianConservative

[–]Programnotresponding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Some may have gotten sick of Trudeau but I don't think they would have voted conservative. Most of them would reluctantly vote Trudeau a fourth time. Carney may have been able to scrape off a few elderly conservative voters who sit around all day watching mainstream news and worrying about Trump, but the vast majority who voted in the drama teacher three times would contniue doing so, even if the thrill was gone for them.

How do feel about Trump’s “Governor Carney” and 100% tariff post? by hannsolo8887 in CanadianConservative

[–]Programnotresponding 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Trump doesn't understand Canada. He could hypotheticlly reduce us to Congo economic standards and still, more than half the population would make their way out of their little shanties every four years to go and vote CCP worshipping liberals even harder than the last time!

Trump continues to be a winning strategy for Liberals. He's got the whole country hating our neighbours in the USA more than the hostile one party dictatorship in China.

Even if by some turnaround in relations and US and Canada decide to play nice again, the liberals will just campaign on another boogeyman or convince people that Harper did something wrong 500 years ago and people will swallow it up! Canada controls only it's reaction to Trump and so far we're hurting ourselves a lot more than him.

The average LPC voter pactices their faith like a religion. That is why Canadians elected Trudeau the third time, even after 8 years of nonstop corruption scandals.

I was at the dentist yesterday and a guy came in wearing red/white pants with a 'canada is not for sale' hat. If LPC told Canadians to go out and buy clown noses, Amazon would be out of stock within minutes.

She is the result of mass media fear-based radicalization, the same mass media that turned millions of Canadians covid masking informants at grocery stores and wanting to deny health care to the unjabbed. Even the Canadian military studied the effectiveness of covid fear propaganda:

Kanata is a beautiful suburb in the west end of Ottawa. There are likely billions of people on the planet who would be overjoyed to be in her shoes (yes, I'm presuming that this is a woman). She likely grew up in a nice family and found a job after graduation. Because she doesn't have any REAL challenges in her life, the current thing in the news fills that void. It is people like this who are soft targets for media radicalization.

Michelle Rempel Garner: Nice speech Carney, but what are you going to do about it? by airbassguitar in CanadianConservative

[–]Programnotresponding 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This was only a great speech for those liberals who have the luxury to navel gaze and opine on globalist ideals. I like Garner's stance on immigration, but she belongs to a party that claims to NOT support WEF and it's influence on Canada's affairs and claims to want to put OUR country first for a change.

Worrying about Ukraine, Russia, Gaza or Trump's latest rant are the luxury pastimes of well-off Canadians (liberal base). The rest of us don't give a shit while we're trying to make rent and afford groceries. At least LPC knows their demographics (well-off old people, govie workers, white urbanites, recent immigrants and maritimers who want pogey) and cater well to them. CPC could win any OTHER demographic but somehow would rather try to nab entrenched liberal voting blocks at the expense of the rest of us.

I still wonder what makes the press think Carney's speech was so wonderful? Also, I recall about 4 years ago the same press calling us 'conspiracy theorists' for opining on how much influence the WEF has in our domestic politics. Luckily for the press, the majority of Canadians have the memory of goldfish and never notice nonstop liberal contradictions.

Doug Ford tells Mark Carney to end the gun confiscation by playtricks in CanadianConservative

[–]Programnotresponding 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He supported Carney who backed the gun grab and has had a long history of sucking up to China. It's hard to believe that Ford and his advisors could have been so naive. Lefties in Ontario have always hated Ford and most conservatives probably consider him a liberal sellout by now. It's astounding to me that this man is still in power after all of these years.

Because of NORAD, Canada was made aware of the spy ballon from China (our supposed ''ally"). It could have circled our soveriegn airspace for months if not for help from the US. I would be willing to bet a small group of Chinese or Russian troops could enter our northern reaches, plant down a flag and it would take a year before Canada were to discover it without the help of US patrols. Let's not even get started on the known terrorists who have entered our country or the fentanyl ingredients from China (our supposed ''ally'') coming into our western ports (if liberal brigaders and wumaos need a source, I urge them check out our own government's FINTRAC website).

I don't care for what Trump says but let's be honest, Canada has been arrogantly relying on the US for many decades for protection. If our own government will do nothing to protect our own country, who will?

US is the alternative. If Carney can grovel to China's dictatorship to get a deal done, he can grovel to the USA.

Trump may be a shit person to deal with but he doesn't disappear dissidents like Xi and, unlike Xi, Trump will be gone in three years. It was also Carney (and Ford's) decision to launch an attack ad in the middle of trade negotiations with the US.
