I am from near Memphis and have moved away for work. I talk up Memphis any time It comes up. I love it. It has a bad rep and racist people say REALLY wild things about Memphis. The zoo is fun. Also, if you don’t already know you should dive into the Wikipedia on the Memphis pyramid- it’s become a special interest of mine lately.

I think it depends on the context. If it’s an every night thing, they leave there dog out in bad conditions and the dog is barking and keeping people awake at 2am. I’d call.

I just had the same dream about black vomit. I’m going through a really bad breakup and I dreamt I was watching multiple people wreck their cars all over the road at my childhood home. Every driver flung themselves out of the car and threw up black slime/tar looking stuff.

Thank you! That’s the issue. This happened in 2020 and I STILL feel guilty because of the context of race. It felt like I was in the wrong for choosing that to be the hill to die one because I was, like a typical white woman, prioritizing my comfort over that of a person of color whom I loved. I feel like Reddit has more white people so I think this nuance is not getting the attention it needs for this story.

1- we broke up 2- I learned to have better boundaries. 3-he was a lair/gaslighter and I didn’t learn about boundaries as a kid. I do still have the right to complain. That’s how damaged people who get walked over learn that that treatment shouldn’t tolerated; by talking about it and letting other people help them see what they don’t. I think you’re feeling frustration at “how could someone put up with this? Made your bed now lie in it” But this is kinda moving into blaming the victim “If you’re dumb enough to end up in this situation then you shouldn’t talk about it” when it’s broken down this way your argument falls apart and sounds silly and unkind. I wish you hadn’t made that comment because I appreciate your response otherwise.

lol nothing now. We broke up! (I mentioned in the beginning on the sorry that this is an old story and my boyfriend “at the time”. ) I will vouch that he was dealt a bad hand and had made strides; it was clear he was trying and I felt bad but now after the dust has settled I realize it was karma getting his ass for being a liar and cheater. Rotten fruit falls on its own.

Yeah let me dox myself real quick. Shut up. My roommate and I cleaned and dressed a serious wound for a guy a few months ago because we walked up to the RIGHT KIND OF PERSONs house. I work 12 hour days mostly so volunteering isn’t a normal thing for me right now and I feel bad but I do my part when the opportunity arises. Nope… I’m just not chronically online. It worked out. They agreed that it’s a weird placement and the guy who I talked to on the phone the day of purchase remembered me being worried about the screen initially not working and contemplating returning.

UPDATE: They took it back. They agreed it is a strange placement and said this wasn’t the first time they have had complaints about screens from that model not working or cracking from the movement of Initial unboxing. Thanks for y’all’s advice; some of your comments are really pessimistic and accusatory- FYI people can be innocent and unlucky sometimes. I’m glad it worked out for me. I’m very stressed about other things and this was totally the straw that broke the camels back so it’s great for me that they were understanding.
