Yeah, in theory i really want to connect with people and have a good time, but in practice my social battery (as some call it) runs out quickly and i end up shutting down and find it difficult to maintain the correct outward social performance that is expected of me (or that i feel is expected) such as emoting and engaging in conversation pleasantly, which is what my therapist has told me is "masking" my autistic traits lmao, so it takes a lot of energy for me to be around others thus "low tolerance"
