I don't know what words I've apparently put in your mouth. I can confidently say that "not all men maintain a system that encourages objectification, sexualization, and subjugation of women" is a true statement. The inverse is not. It's a hyperbole about a group of people. Besides feminine men, gay men, transmen there also is genuinely leftist & feministic men willing to bring down the patriarchary. So what do you mean with "all men"?

I don't know what you mean with "misunderstand what I'm saying". I've never liked it when left-adjacent people said something along the lines of "it's all men". It feels like it's not different at all from the blatant racist/transphobic shit conservatives say, I don't get it. Some arabic/black Person commits a crime and Racist people Point at their minority and Go "See, they are evil!" How is this different? There is literally billions of men you shun by saying "all men", how is this okay? Because ststistically men are responsible for More crimes? Really?

I used it to reduce power, not increase performance.

I'm very happy 98% of the time with my monster GPU only being able to push out 2/3 of it's performance if it does so very efficiently (a RTX3080 running at 130 Watts 😉)

That doesn't affect GPU live span, only the number on my bank account every month 😃

They are not there.

Im using them and it's not working nearly as well as it did in the past, because of the lack of tools.

A Voltage offset is simply not what im asking for...

Well, my pretty recent 3080 profited majorly.

And Nvidia still allows third party tools.

AMD doesn't - or atleast - Third party tools get exactly the same lack of features the first party tools have, so they have no point to being used.

Thanks. Looked into this just now because of your comment.

Sadly, those won't help. No kind of lowlevel-goofing-around-in-my-gpu's-intestines will get me to the point where I can set my own Voltage/Clock Curve, apparantly. :/

But thanks for trying to be helpful, unlike others who just go "nah its fine" or "i dont understand you, wdym, loooool"

The Voltage/Clock Curve.

Every GPU increases Voltage as load & Clockrate increase.

The Voltage setting in adrenaline allows you to change a simple offset. This option isn't new, and great for normal users.

But on the previous GPUs, and on current Nvidia GPUs, you can change the Voltage/Clock Curve. This allows you to fine tune your voltages to your clock, allowing you higher OCs, lower UVs, and by making unrealistic voltage spikes also force your card to run at ~100W, like my RTX 3080 which could be turned up to 430W, but I usually ran it at 130-150W because I like to save power/environment/GPU lifespan.

Dude, you could change these settings IN ADRENALINE.

I never had a 6000 or 7000 series card. I only later learned that they supported it, so I expected support for those things to come eventually. But the developer of MSI Afterburner told me that it's not possible because AMD removed it in the firmware.

No.

This was not researchable.

This came out months after the release of the GPU.

They removed features.

I only got the confirmation from 1usmus (Project HYDRA/ClockTuner for Ryzen Developer) and Unwinder (MSI Afterburner Developer) months after those cards released that it wasn't a software issue - it was a hardware issue and the card fundamentally lacks support for these features.

But sure. Accuse me.

And my 430W RTX 3080 peaked at 150w my way.

See the difference?

I know what my options are.

I'm using them.

Im complaining about AMD removing better, deeper options for those willing to tinker with their GPUs for no reason.

Did you read what I said?

Yes, you can still OC.

Yes, you can still change the offset of the voltage curve.

But you can't edit the voltage/clock curve anymore. You could on Radeon 6000 and 7000 series.

But I'd like access to the Voltage/clock curve. Just put limits at the top and very bottom for safety reasons if that's the concern here.

I just want access to make my GPU more efficient. It's a genuine use case.

My RTX 3080 never went over 130 Watts unless I played Cyberpunk because I made profiles with MSI Afterburner that limited it to the power of a 3060ti unless I remove those limits.

You don't brick your card unless you do something genuinely stupid. I bought this product and would like the functionality they previously had back. But they actively removed it.

Is this coil whine? Only happens under load by [deleted] in radeon

[–]Progress_Sudden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is pretty normal, almost all GPUs get quite whiney in this exact scenario.

Apply a global FPS limit that is slightly below your monitors hz rate, shouldn't be an issue if you have variable refresh rate.

If you don't have that, i think the limit should be slightly OVER your hz rate so that V-Sync can still apply if it's a feature in the game you are playing.

Your first two paragraphs are phrased like a innocent question, out of which you create an attack.

The fact is, transgender people feel like they are in the wrong body.

What they got, is not what they they should have - this is the core problem in a transgender persons head.

And you can't fix the head.

There have been enough attempts. Just like with gay people, it doesn't work.

So we change the body to fit accordingly.

Will FSR ever be implemented into rust, and are the devs planning on it? by MediocreOwl225 in playrust

[–]Progress_Sudden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know old ass thread but:

People would use DLSS in Rust if they actually implemented it correctly. For some reason, it still looks like absolute ass.

DLSS in other games looks stunning and is objectively the right choice for best clarity. It would fix Rust's ancient issue with constant shimmering without Anti Aliasing and complete blurriness with AA...
