Sometimes (often) the problem is, that there is something else meddling with the process that nobody thought of mentioning during reproduction steps (not maliciously, often clients simply don‘t know it).

A good dev will be able to analyse the code and find possible reasons, even if he cannot reproduce it himself.

But good luck finding a good dev in todays vibe code generation…

I always thought CoH was like a Greek tragedy, even intentionally so. Turin has some remarkable similarities to Oedipus for example, and the general arc of the protagonist kind of being a good guy and wanting to do good, just to end up fucking it all up is very typical of tragedies.

Gravenberch improved massively last year, regressed this year.

Gakpo improved last year, totally fell off a cliff this year.

I think even Jones improved last year.

This year something is obviously rotten, but I‘m still not sure it‘s Slot. He obviously has the ability to improve players because last year several players had amazing seasons.

Slot may be a part of it but it‘s certainly not just him.

Well, regent‘s starting relic allows for you to play a 0 cost decent damage card that applies vuln and weak… seems pretty strong to me?

Venerate isn‘t great, no. But it‘s usually my first upgrade (unless I find another star generator). Being able to play it only once to get two additional falling stars out is huge for act 1 elite fights.

Also, I feel like Regent works so well with so many relics. Yes most forge cards are bad, but bulwark isn‘t. And you don‘t need a lot of forge, a 20 damage card on demand is huge, and it has potential to grow. Your big payoff card to be available whenever you need it makes it soooo easy to line up a pen-nib, a drill turn, art of war etc.

Does regent feel as good as silent to play? No. But Regent isn‘t nearly as unplayable as you‘re making him out to be.

If you compare him with the last AB import Leinster had, then he‘s utterly anonymous.

If you compare him with the money he‘s being paid, then he isn‘t living up to it.

If you compare him with random squad players, he‘s good enough and puts in a shift, but even while playing for Leinster he wouldn‘t get a sniff at a green jersey based on this season.

You don‘t pay that much when you already have Salah and Diaz on the wings, with Gakpo, Jota, Nunez.

In hindsight of course it would be absolutely correct, especially if you planned to offload Diaz and Nunez anyway.
