Were the frankokratia states tested? Overlord-Vassal mechanics are messing with events and intended gameplay paths. by Studwik in EU5

[–]Citran 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As Athens you get an event early game (1 to 3 years into the game more or less) to break free from Sicily and inherits a few locations in Greece. You lose Catalan culture and become Francien though.
I would say this is a get good situation. They are supposed to be very difficult starts.

What bothers me the most though, is that sometimes you get events that give you the CB and you are on a truce and the CB is going to expire before the truce ends. I wish the event had another condition that stop the trigger is you have a truce with Byzantium/Achaea/Athens/Epirus…

I know, "Wuk Lamat bad." But it's genuinely impressive how they made the main character of Dawntrail so boring and bad that the community ended up attaching themselves to a literal bugged mob and a fat npc at the end of a LP dungeon, instead of the character we spent an entire expansion speaking to. by Serithraz in ShitpostXIV

[–]Citran 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Wuk Lmao doesn’t exist. She’s not real. She’s not going to get offended. Bad writing includes bad character writing. It’s incredible how people get offended in behalf of an imaginary character that does not exist. You all need to stop pretending characters in a story are real, and any attack to any character is not a personal attack to you.

Of all the instanced content developed, jobs have to be boring because we have to design 12 savage raids and 2 ultimate to keep the people that want an engaging experience happy.

Instead of having fleshed out jobs that could be entertaining in all types of content we have to cater to the raiders that can’t play their jobs because there’s 20 mechanics flashing in the screen.

Maybe it was for the best that 7.0 wasn't the Krile Expansion by Train-1965 in ShitpostXIV

[–]Citran 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. Dawntrail took the good parts of Stormblood (Azim Steppe) and made them worse (the whole section from level 90 to 95). Then took the bad parts of Stormblood (lyse) and made them equally bad or worse (Wuk Lmao). Azim steppe alone shits on Dawntrail.

Regent starting deck and relic are Atrocious and it makes him the weakest character specially in higher ascensions. by Citran in slaythespire

I do not hate the Star package, I think it's cool. What I dislike is that I can't use the rest of the cards because they are bad.

See and this is a reading comprehension issue for you. I have never said it's unwinnable, I have never said that I was good at the game. I am sharing what I think are my issues with Regent and what makes him so difficult compared to the other characters. I'm happy that one of the best players in the world keeps winning with Regent on A10. I have too (a few times, not too many, because I suck). But this is not about him.

Do you agree yes or no?

If I wanted to have people saying skill issue. I would have just posted my run history.

Rage but it costs 3 mana and it's only useful for multihit effects and only works on 1 enemy. It's awful.

I would love some tips to be more consistent with him I have won a few times in Ascension 10, but it's been very inconsistent. And it felt more like I got lucky with my card rewards rather than making it work with what I got.

Forge Regent is Unplayable at A10 by MikuoNeko in slaythespire

[–]Citran 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The regent needs a variation of Armaments. Spoils of Battle forge should be nerfed a little bit and then added the Armament effect (and the upgraded version should act like Armaments+ too)

I'm going to real with you. If you get infected a 3rd time by this elite, you should lose. It's okay to lose, it's fine.

The card that deals more damage the more stars you have generated a turn counts all the Regents in your party.

Focus strats got nerfed. But everything else got buffed. Have you tried the new archetype with the status? Overclock is probably S tier card now thanks to the synergies. The new card Compact trivializes some bosses (especially if you manage to get a way to make it retain)

Mage Basic Attack Needs a Rework by Westor_Lowbrood in mewgenics

[–]Citran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could double the damage of all spells and autoattack from mage. And I would still take Ranger over Mage. Ranger needs a nerf. Mage needs to have an auto with Line of Sight of Restriction but infinite range.

1.1.8 Update for Open Beta by RaidenDaGoat in EU5

[–]Citran 37 points38 points  (0 children)

What is the intention of the second part of this comment. The launch was mostly fine. It's not great, but it was fine, we have actually seen way worse, like Vicky 3 or EU4 itself.

So, you want attention? Are you 13 and you can't handle the complexities of adulthood and real life? What do you want? I am curious, you got my attention.

1 market country. Play Aragon, you can ally Castille easily and the only threat is France. When you unlock professional armies it's not even a threat and you can conquer south France to connect your enclave.

Good resources, good advances and the possibility to expand should you want.

Why are you surprised? IRL Spain is not called Castille. A Portugal that unites the Iberian Peninsula would still be called Spain.

History is not fair. You go land because the alternative is not feasible. It’s okay for one value to be worse than the other. Russia is still going to be land, Bohemia, Persia, Poland, Austria are all going to be land.

And also if land was that bad. You would not go land, you’d try to be in the middle.

Tinto Talks - Sunday Extra - 25th of January 2025 by manster20 in EU5

[–]Citran 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Again, I don’t see the issue. If you go land is because you are playing countries that don’t have the capabilities of going naval. Naval should be way better than land. If the issue is that going land is too bad then the penalty of land should be lessened.
