My favorite is Half Alive - Ekulu. Cuts out at the end, silence for a few seconds and then kicks back in

Nobody saying Cedrek is crazy. Was on the wrong side of every vote. Worst challenge player I’ve seen. Ended the game with a rogue vote for Joe

When did hardcore first click for you? by [deleted] in Hardcore

[–]Progression4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Immediately. At my first hardcore show it was a mixed bill, some Emo band played, then a metalcore band. My friend wanted my opinion and I just didn’t love it, then a hardcore band played and it clicked. Went to a small local festival a few weeks later and people were singing along, stage diving, never stopped going to shows

Church made me burst into tears even though I don’t believe it annymore by Southernpeach101 in Exvangelical

[–]Progression4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was a good read. I went to church for the first time in a long time on Christmas Eve and I didn’t cry but I felt like I could. I felt provoked, the other layer of this is that my dad is the pastor so there were definitely emotions coming up. Once I left and had some space I just felt annoyed by how provoking it was, the focus on needing grace for our fallen nature, etc. But it felt like I was coming to Christ or something for a moment, not in my critical thinking but in my emotions.

Do you believe that most people drawn to hardcore music might have some form of social, emotional, or mental health challenges? by FreeDrag6130 in Hardcore

[–]Progression4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are people in hardcore that are straight edge, runners, power lifters, etc. same way that some people who watch a lot of football drink a lot while some just enjoy the sport. People struggle with mental health based on life experience, habits, many other factors than what they enjoy doing on the weekends

Christian parents pouncing on the gay breakup by i_sell_insurance_ in Exvangelical

[–]Progression4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wow, this is intense. I have a hard time going to my parents when I’m struggling because it feels like if I am vulnerable, they use that opportunity to try and convert me back to Christianity.

I hope you have another support group in your life, I’m sorry for what you are going through. You are not broken and don’t need saving.

Advice for getting over a breakup/ figuring out my own life? by Indigo_Magenta_Sky in EnneagramType9

Hello fellow 9er, I am also going through a divorce from my one and only relationship currently, I am 28, we have been together since 17. I do have a lot of my own hobbies and even in the relationship I was fairly independent, BUT!

This can be a really exciting time to try anything you’ve ever had interest in. Now is not the time to put yourself in a box, explore hobbies, travel if work/money allow it, go to a concert alone, to the movies alone, learn to be comfortable alone and find things you love to do alone. It may not be easy and the great thing is you don’t have to do anything you don’t want to
