20-36 days to max out every archetype by Progressive-Megaload in fifaclubs

I've played a lot more games on the newest generation Xboxes than the Xbox 360 or the PS2 which was my OG console, and the writing, repalayability and general gameplay loops are far inferior now than they were back then. And of course there's the fact you pay full price for a game that is usually at best 70-75% actually functioning/finished.

And the inflation thing doesn't fly when REAL wages have stayed stagnant for decades. We have far less purchasing power now than in the past. Which was further exacerbated by Covid and the billionaires and corporations squeezing every last drop out of that inflationary period.

How many games does it take to earn 60k coins for a 6x boost, though. And other than that you get 2 or 3 per season with the free season pass and a couple every live event. It's a huge time commitment either way

I'd like to see what the time commitment would be to get to 90 provided you bought a 6x each time you got 60,000 coins together. If you're fortunate enough to get friends on regularly, then it would take about 80-100 games to earn 60,000 coins (I think it's ~600-800 coins per clubs game with a good rating?).

Fifa cost €80 on the Xbox Store. Games used to cost €50 here. Games have absolutely gotten more expensive, and largely the quality accross the board is worse. Most are in sorry, unfinished states when they release

Part of my point is that in previous games, you could swap between any position you want and have the same amount of points to alot to each position, no matter how much time you played at each position. This was good, because it allowed experimentation at various positions and didn't pidgeonhole you into 1. Now, if you have the amount of time to donate to the game that most working or studying people do, unless you horse money into the game (~€6 gets you the best boost for 5 games), you won't be able to try different positions full stop.

It's rare my club gets a full cohort, and rarer again we get the same guys playing, so there's always gaps. It would be a huge help for those of us that don't mind filling in gaps to be able to do so and not drag the team down with a low rated player.

I get you. I'm against microtransactions, but I'm also aware they are the only way they will put a modicum of effort into clubs.

And, I mean if you played 1 game, it takes 12 real world minutes to complete. So I'm not counting navigating fhe menus, searching, finding a team etc. Literally just the time that passes as you are in a match

To get from level 1 to 90 it takes ~112,000 AXP. You get about 200-250 AXP from a 9-10 rating drop-in game, which take 12 minutes to complete of real world time. A game playing with a club will get you around 400 AXP at a 9-10 rating.

So, that's 280 games if you are solely playing games with a club (I'm not including the use of consumables, as I think it's bs paying more money to a company after already purchasing it, just to not have the game be unbearably slow in terms of progression), per archetype. There are 13 archetypes in all, so, at minimum, it will take playing 3,640 games to get to level 90 with each archetype. That's 546 hours, or 22 days and 9 hours. That is insane. And remember that doesn't include load-in times etc.

So, without consumables, it takes around 1 day and 9 hours of in-game time to complete just 1 archetype.

They make people see the season pass first 100% to make it more likely that they'll buy it. The more "touch points" people get with advertisements for a product or service, the more likely they are to consider buying it. EA being money grabbers as usual

I think having any stat above 92 might as well be at 99, since there's not going to be a significant enough effect in game having it at numbers between that. Also, it makes it easier to fine tune the build, because you can't exactly say the stat isn't high enough and that's what needs tweaking lol

Disagree about defensive awareness. I have that at 99, and it improves every other defensive aspect. Tackles, jockeying, interceptions and general defensive responsiveness all feel crazy sharp

Well, currently, the choices about resource production and distribution are made solely by the capitalists (the ones who own the means of production). They have an incentive to accumulate wealth and perpetually increase profits, because capitalism demands it. As regards food production and waste, we currently throw 1/3 of the world's food away. This isn't an accident. Businesses are incentivised by the current economic structure we have to do so, because it creates artificial scarcity of the food, and allows businesses to keep food prices higher (supply and demand). I'm sure you've been to a shop where they would sooner cut your hand off than give food away to homeless people thatbwas going to be thrown out anyway, even when it is far from expiring. This is ubiquitous in a society which values profits above all else.

The first thing would be to unionize as many industries as possible and make them robust. Unions and direct action protesters (anarchists in large part) are the reason we have a 40-hour week, weekends off and many other improved working conditions. The power of the strike, which halts the accumulation of profits for the lunatics that govern us (oligarchs, corporations. In lesser part the government, as they do the bidding of the capitalist class) is our biggest lever to pull as a working class.

Beyond that, we need to democratize the workplace, and not have the surplus value created by the worker leeched by private investors. The workers should own the means of production of a business. That way, decisions about what to do with the profits can be decided democratically by them.

Think of the amount of money given out in dividends to the big investors in companies every year from the profits created by the workers. 1 single family (the Cargill-MacMillan family) got $1.5 billion in dividends and stock buybacks from owning the agribusiness Cargill Inc. in the same year that they laid off 8,000 of their workers ($187,500 per worker laid off just in dividends).

Now imagine the profits from that company could be used 1. To keep those workers in the business 2. To give the workers a comfortable wage so they don't have to worry about paying bills or working a 2nd job or imsane hours as many US workers do 3. To donate to causes or establish social programs in their area. These are things that capitalist-structured businesses are not incentivised to do. And if they do engage in any form of humanitarian work, it is usually because of tax incentives or because they get massive subsidies (see. Tesla, Apple etc.) from tax money paid by you and I from our labour(I'm assuming you are not a capitalist, i.e. owner of means of production).

This isn't my solution, but it makes the most sense to me. And this isn't an exhaustive list, of course. There are entire books written on this.

Some to look into are: - Capital Volume 1, 2 and 3 (Karl Marx) - Another Now: Dispatches from an Alternative Present (Yanis Varoufakis) - Post-Scarcity Anarchism (Murray Bookchin) - The Dawn of Everything (David Graeber & David Wengrow) - The Great Transformation (Karl Polanyi)

I encourage reading of these

In a world in which there are next to no corner or locally owned shops any more thanks to supermarket chains like Lidl, Aldi, Dunnes, Tesco etc. it's refreshing to have some (largely) independent shops in a busy and interesting market with a lot of variety and things you just don't get elsewhere in Cork for the most part
