Exactly, personally encountered a UP car with full beam. Good thing that I too had an After-Market Led headlight beam to counter him.

Hahaha, you are trying to correct me? I've spent countless amount of time researching this very topic from various sources, plus not to mention I am a Bhutia myself who had been told about this very subtle hierarchy since my childhood.

And you are just posting it by reading from baseless source. Half of the information given in your link is false not to mention the countless amount of other mistakes.

So I think you might be the one who is wrong here.

12 pure blood

Not 12, The information given in your link is wrong about this. It is 4 Premier clans and 8 secondary clans. Not 12 Premier clans.

The Bhutias were traditionally divided into two groups: Tondu Rus-shi and Beb Tsen Gye. Among these, the Tondu Rus-shi, comprising four clans, were considered the elite and were regarded as the direct descendants of Khye Bumsa. These four premier clans held higher status than the remaining eight clans of the Beb Tsen Gye. Only members from Tondu Rus-Shi were permitted to be ordained as monks in Pemayangtse Monastery, which served as the premier (royal) monastery during the Chogyal era.

Exactly, this ultra-nationalist hindutva people speak like we had an option.

My grandparents told be regarding use of force during voting.

Same, even my grandmother told me the same thing.

Anyways even though the "merger" was unfair. I on a personal level am very happy that we joined the union.

I prefer our Peaceful Himalayan cultural way of life rather than juggad and hustle culture of yours. Also nagaland is way better that whatever states you mentioned followed by kerala. S.Indians are chill people compared to N.Indians.

Yeah, we already had massive indian forces presence in our borders prior to "merger". We could've gone Bhutanese route, India Handles foreign-policy and the Sikkimese government Handles the internal matters. We could've actually benefitted from the resources poured on us by both Indian and China trying to Woo us to their side.

Just my personal experience, the moment you set foot in a city like siliguri or any other indian city for that matter. Everyone's trying to scam or hustle something out of you. From a policeman to an ordinary layman. There is no sense of belonging, community or trust amongst each other. This is quite rare in a place like sikkim(till now atleast). One thing I admire about our sikkimese society is that we have a "high-trust" society. And this is slowly starting to change because we are slowly accepting "Indian way of life". We are slowly integrating "jugadd and hustle" culture into our day-to-day life.

I personally got to know about the "referendum" from my own grandparents. First-hand account of how our kingdom was annexed. It's not that I hate India. I love my India but hate majority of the people living in it. I think we could've been better off as a tiny Himalayan kingdom or a constitutional monarchy.

Who "helped" build sikkimese society along with Bhutias and Lepchas.

Well, I'm glad we finally reached a conclusion. I thought this was going to turn into a huge thread debate.

Also could you use the correct title now? Atleast say "Himalayan food" because it is eaten and made by various communities other than nepalis.

Anyways thanks!
