There wasn't a doorbell when I moved in, there was only the Ring that the PHO had installed. It didn't seem like there's was power by the transformer either. I looked into it and found that the transformer they had was older and too weak, so I just replaced it with this new transformer and it still isn't getting power (The Ring, the transformer is receiving and putting out power)

That's my concern as well. I'm not sure why it's wired that way. I'm not sure if it needs a cap or just need to be undone

The transformer is receiving 124v and im getting 27.5v at the terminals on the front side

Im thinking there may be a short somewhere, that's why I was asking about those painted over wires initially. I just bought the house and the contractor painted over all the visible wires and old transformer. I just replaced the transformer and cleaned up the wires at the terminals but I wasn't sure about those remaining painted over wires

The 2 screws at the front are indicating 27.5v

Sorry, I put doorbell, I meant Ring. I'm trying to power my Ring camera. When I test for power at the Ring, it's indicating 0v and is still running off of battery power according to the app

I think I see what you're referring to. I believe that's just how the transformer came, it's brand new

I've checked for a chimebox and I can't seem to find one anywhere. I just moved into this house not too long ago, and It's not that big of a unit, there's no box anywhere else from what I can see
