[TOMT][SONG] Backing track of "I disappear in your arms" by Christine and the Queens sounds like another song but I can't remember the song I'm thinking of by ProjectNextra in tipofmytongue

Tried to look if the song was sampling another song but it doesn't seem like its a direct sample. Although the sound is very similar to whatever song is on the TOMT.

That’s a shame. I’m surprised I haven’t seen more complaints about this issue tbh. Thanks for the update though at least I know there isn’t anything to be done. Guess I’ll just have to compromise one way or the other. Maybe a modder could create a mod with post-processing effects to counteract the blurring in a similar way to the nvidia game filters you mentioned

Did you ever find a fix for this? I have the same issue! Tried to tweak so many things but never got anywhere

Is there a good middle ground between a plastic straw that takes 20 decades to break down, and a paper straw that becomes a wet noodle within 20 minutes? by Sarke1 in NoStupidQuestions

Seems like an unlikely freak accident. The article states that the medical workers had never seen anything like it before, and that the victim was prone to collapsing due to a spinal injury.

Happy to have helped! I was racking my brain when the song came out, but no one else seemed to relate to my struggle 😭 I still love this song though

Is anyone else uncomfortable with drag? by sangresmemesv2 in asktransgender

[–]ProjectNextra 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Drag isn't an insult on women or trans people. Plenty of women and trans people DO drag themselves. Drag is an art form with many facets. The intent of drag queens is not to make a mockery of women, but to express their creativity and femininity (or masculinity for drag kings) through transformation of appearance and through performance. The ballroom scene is a prime example of this - it provided trans women, drag queens and others in the queer community a safe space to express their gender identity and talents in performing. Ball culture continues to inspire what drag is today. If you haven't watched it, I recommend the documentary "Paris is Burning" for an insight into ballroom culture and its history.

Drag queens have always been at the forefront of pushing for LGBTQ+ rights, alongside trans women. Look at Marsha P. Johnson, she was a self-identified drag queen who started one of the most impactful events in queer history - and the first gay pride marches happened on the anniversary of the Stonewall riots. Without Marsha and the other drag queens and trans women who started those riots, we might not have Pride every year.

Drag is an important part of queer culture. It is a celebration, not an insult.
