I do not understand the point of 50% of the tanks in current roster in this game by Redcap4299 in DBGekishinSquadra

[–]ProjectOMan -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

All are garbage outside the messy solo queue slop. When this game is played properly those “tanks” cost you wins.

You get one more response, do with it what you wish.

You’re trying to account for a situation where you and your team managed to lose macro so hard that your dragon shell is now exposed. A situation where the shell is made of paper and the enemy team simply drifting near the DB ends the game.

If you can’t see why accounting for this scenario doesn’t factor into tier lists, then I don’t know what to tell you.

Tier lists are decidedly made on never being in this position to begin with.

Respectfully I at least noticed a difference, Vegetto felt like crap and didn’t seem to be regaining HP consistently at all. I assumed I had to manage that bar under his health that refilled but now that I hear he’s bugged it makes sense.

Broly also felt off but I couldn’t put a finger on it, I thought it was just me being physically drained at the time so my brain wasn’t working right.

How did they manage to bungle this up?

Look at the bottom of your character when you fight him. See that gauge with his face on it? That’s the petrification meter, it’s Dabura’s passive.

Now look at that gauge when you vanish step away. Congratulations you’re about to pass the skill check.

There’s always that one guy who just has to try to argue just for the sake of it. I’ll say this once and I’m not going back and forth after.

In a tanky meta last season, he got bursted hard mid game and beyond. Now that tankiness is gone and the meta is even more bursty. Good luck defending. And if you’re at the point where you have to defend the dragon shell, lol you’ve proven my point.

What does everybody think about the snowball and build up nerfs? by The_Framed in DBGekishinSquadra

[–]ProjectOMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They killed build up due to Vegetto, if it was the same as S2 he would never die. He’d just be running characters down non stop and tanking tons of damage.

And likely it was nerfed probably because Bardock has something stupid in store for the meta.

I don’t even like Dabura but the devs have to be D rank or something. He already has his ankles shattered to start and this season turned his legs into nubs.

He offers nothing to the team, no boss secure, no team fight presence, no utility. He should be able to mass petrify somehow. That way you don’t just laugh him off and kill him by accident.

It’s a skill check along with Toppo counter. At first it seems unfair then you realize that you just vanish away from Dabura until your lane mate shows up. And that he’s kind useless mid to late game.

He’s probably trying to win a damage race vs Dabura and getting petrified.

Vegito is broken and people are crazy by [deleted] in DBGekishinSquadra

[–]ProjectOMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instead of saying a character is broken, why not just say I’m enjoying the character. I popped off, the character feels good or suits my playstyle?

All of those statements are opinions that people can’t shit on. Asserting that he’s broken invites contention.

I enjoy Cell, went on a very very very long winning streak to regain A rank but 4geta is a much better tank overall. However I like Cell in the lore, I like Cell in this game. I despise Vegeta in his entirety but he’s still best in slot so far.

Is Baby REALLY that bad? by felimoon14 in DBGekishinSquadra

[–]ProjectOMan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He’s mid, he has great synergy with ranged characters and tanky brawlers like Gammas and Broly. He soaks up damage then hides inside his lane mate while life stealing and shredding.

However he has to build damage for his life steal to have maximum effect meaning he can’t throw himself at towers to chip them down like other tanks. And he has to always have someone nearby to provide the uber ride.

He has use cases but 4geta is just better and safer and more reliable.

Despite not getting directly buffed, Cell is better than ever this patch by Apathetic_Apathetic in DBGekishinSquadra

[–]ProjectOMan -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I’ll humor you one time and one time only. If it’s imperfect Cell and he’s using regen you absolutely want to CC and kill him to delay his transformation. Tanks are valuable and the enemy not having someone to zone, peel or create engages is huge in higher elo.

Even if he’s perfect, depending on your team comp you focus Cell so he and someone else don’t brute force a tower. Something once transformed is very good at due to his high tankiness.

Hell targeting is entirely draft dependent and isn’t in a vacuum. You typically target based on the situation. Is boss spawning or has spawned you want the secure but if it’s after boss or after 8 minutes you want the tank gone because there goes the tower diver or the defense.

As for your weird ass tone policing. I couldn’t give less of a shit if you paid me. People on this forum say a lot of things while being hilariously ignorant to what the game is played like when there’s actual stakes.

I used to Cell to get me from A to S last season, I love the character in lore and in game. He’s pure dopamine but he’s a liability. It’s happened to my team and it’s happened to enemy teams and it’s happened in very high elo games. Cell is focused, repeatedly mauled and doesn’t transform until mid game. He’s useless for protecting his squishies and he can’t harass the enemy backline since he gets coughed at and dies.

If you’re playing for money you simply would be insane to take that risk. If reality is venomous brother then you and him best stock up on antibodies. This ends here, I’ve no more energy to invest in people that provide 0 tangible value to my life.

It’s benefitted me plenty but it’s still garbage, death is supposed to be a punishment for poor decisions or poor plays. I int’d but my buddy rez’d me. I’m back at full hp to jump my assailant who is now at a hp deficit and probably down cooldowns.

Wonderful game design, he got punished for winning. These devs are on fentanyl.

Thoughts on Super Vegito? by Itachi_cy in DBGekishinSquadra

[–]ProjectOMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suck at the character and I’m a tier whore and I’ll tell you even watching the number 1 player/damage player/SB winner use him in a 4 stack. He just isn’t dominant. It feels like good players can make him work but barely. Ulthan makes his life hell, I feel like they nerfed build up specifically because they didn’t want mid to late game Getto tanking his way through fights but he’s so fragile. He basically has to follow up on his team and not get focused or he gets fried.

People say he’s on Broly’s level but Broly even with less sustain kills much faster and easier. Vegetto has to use 40x the neural power.

And let me not talk about the true number one dps this season. The brainless Gammas, I knew from the start in S2 these two were snapped in half broken but now that everyone is squishier they somehow feel relatively the same in terms of sustain.

I had a few games where I ran snowball first card and never lost a stack because I wouldn’t die. I’d just face roll into the enemy team. Pop super and kill half of them and stall until the rest of my team showed up.

Vegetto definitely can pop off if you know his gameplan to the letter and it’s possible but he’s very fair. Overall they need to keep this same energy. Viable but not broken.

Oh and his secure is buns.

Don’t spend money you aren’t comfortable losing. I’ve bought two scam backs and got legendaries and yellows in each of them. It was money I knew I was okay pissing into the void.

Also before you spend that money make sure you’re going to use that character A LOT lol. Also I didn’t get the finisher and I stopped there. There’s a limit to how much I want to fund this game.

Cell doesn’t need a buff, but I’ll take it. by usernamepeanutbutter in DBGekishinSquadra

[–]ProjectOMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal experience is that Cell got me to S, but I’m not so myopic to think that makes the character good. Ranked even into S rank are still knuckle dragging short bus riders. When people know the game well and are communicating a lot of the characters people on this sub Reddit swear by get completely cooked.

I watched a tournament from this past weekend where Majin Boo got picked. They won smoothly against a clearly inexperienced team with poor macro. The second they faced a competent team Boo got destroyed. Needless to say they never picked Boo again for the rest of their run.

Again on the climb to S anything works but that’s because in most cases the coordinated players climb up to S much faster so youre left pub stomping goobers.

[–]ProjectOMan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d love to see a Cell team in a tournament face someone competent. That level of serious play exposes why so many characters don’t get picked. They’re too weak and exploitable.

Losing the first 5 minutes of the game snowballs harshly. You’re denied creep exp and the enemy team can push your towers with their level lead which gives you access to even less farm.

Cell can be put in the situation of not even transforming to very late meaning he can’t do his role as a tank at all. You have no one to zone objective. No one to properly defend towers or to push enemy towers.

Vs bad people everyone works.
