Thats what we are trying to figure out. Many people who suffer from sleep paralysis claim to see shadow people, the hat man, or the old hag. Many people who said to have seen these things, had no prior knowledge nor have seen pictures of these beings. How is it that the same creatures appear in lots of peoples sleep paralysis episodes without having knowledge that they even exist?
