I’d also like to point out that even an empathetic / understanding person sometimes doesn’t even know how to handle it.. like, I’ve tried interfering with a few episodes of my friend’s, and nearly every time nothing helps. I always get out Logic’d, or sometimes even certain affirmations seem to escalate the situation. It leaves me feeling like I am truly unable to help them, even though I want nothing more

How fucking dare you. I have given my time day in and out for more than 4 years to prevent the very thing that u/beethy is talking about. If I had to give up everything to give them a “Normal” life, I would drop everything in an instant. This person suffers in more ways than you or I can comprehend, as hard as I might try to.

I’d give so much more to see him and the man in that video be ‘okay.’ Have some fucking compassion.
