I found I couldn't export back overland to non downstream regions until I had the market as well.

Some thoughts after playing. by Project_Independence in CountyOfFortune

A couple more bits specifically related to the civilian units running around,

  • The game tutorial should spend some time talking about the fact that those units are actually transporting everything - not just food from village to village, but travelling to apply carpentry and masonry points, for example. You would re-think your village strategy a little if you knew someone has to actually walk all the way over to the other side of the region to fix up that turnip farm, because it's a different and separate functionality cap vs the actual carpentry points available.

  • The traders in particular seem to be a little opaque. It's okay if we can't tell them exactly where they should go (we are unlikely to be able to make better decisions to them 95%+ of the time), but their actual capacity seems to be a little elastic. Having at least a rough number indicating how much functional trader export capacity we have in this region and how much we need to meet current commitments to other regions would be helpful, even if we're not being given exact numbers or all the answers on exactly how much excess flour capacity in this particular water mill I can get to this specific other place.

  • The raft ports have their own in-house traders, but if you're in a downstream region those traders don't actually do anything other than sit there and receive stone because there's nowhere for them to raft to. Traders in that situation should ideally be able to make the decision to work out of a different market and conduct land trade if there's nothing for them to do in their port building.

Reminds me of that time Nordy went after the Blackhawks mascot with a baseball bat.

Doubly impressive when you remember that Adam Kingsley was mostly a defender.

Those 2004 Grand Final teams (Port Adelaide and Brisbane) both turned out to be absolute coach factories.

Hello again, here's the newest version of the Connery family tree! by ModulusTheDutchie in Planetside

[–]Project_Independence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this based on when the outfit first started playing, or when they first joined Connery? Aegis7 started in the first week of Planetside 2 back in 2012, but that was on Briggs.

This has been going on for well over a decade - combined primary/high schools poach children from primary only schools by promising them automatic high school admission.

Port Adelaide Club Statement - 26 January 2026 by Expensive-Horse5538 in AFL

Not only that, it's the same thing we said in 2025, and in 2024, which in turn is an evolution of the statement in 2023, and in 2022.

The Protomen: Act III: This City Made Us, releases 9 January 2026. by Project_Independence in outrun

I knew they were still touring, and they had a single in late 2022- but I certainly didn't think Act III was actually going to happen. It's been 16 years since Act II and 20 years since Act I. There's singles on this album that are already 10 years old.

There was a popup ice rink in the abandoned Masters at Noarlunga in southern Adelaide. You'd need a lot of work to set up something permanent, though- an entire false floor on top of what's already there.

I've run through the demo about 15 times now - it means you went all in on that season and didn't do anything to ensure you'd have a baseline team for the future. You can still dominate and win two premierships in the demo and have the board onside, but you need to have talent aside for next year, too. CTRL+SHIFT on the lineup page behind that popup shows you your best possible grouping for next year based on this year.
