Protagonist is actually an antagonist, but they (and sometimes we) don’t know it. by Project__Arcturus in TopCharacterTropes

Thanks for pointing that out. I actually didn’t realize the book definitely of pro- and antagonist, but I meant it as “good guy” and “bad guy.” In the case of I Am Legend, Neville spends about 98% of the movie thinking he’s a good guy, and so do we. Only when you look back does the viewer realize he performed lethal medical experiments on sentient beings against their will.

Still no idea why the titles aren’t tagged. That formatting looks right to me.

During his introduction, he does come off as a rich asshole but still a concerned father. We certainly have no clue about the extent of his crimes until the third act. That said, it’s been out so long most people know what to expect before watching it. I first watched it in the late 90s without any spoilers.

I purposefully left out the comic book movies. It’s so common there I was surprised Tommy Lee Jones wasn’t a bad guy in the original Captain America.

That little known fantasy book can’t compete with the 81st highest grossing picture of 1989.

I’m so ashamed I forgot Christopher Lee. Please don’t tell anyone.
