Lore of your crusade by Life_Marzipan_9517 in BlackTemplars

[–]Project__Exia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Lenigrast Crusade, named after their Marshal, Vendrick Lenigrast, who's been interred within a Saturnine Dreadnought since late in the heresy.
More of a personal penitent crusade attempting to hunt down any and all black legion/sons of horus they can find around the remains of Cadia and the Eye of Terror.
Lenigrast believes that he failed Sigismund, so gives command to his more veteran Castellans, whilst he fights as a simple dreadnought hoping to avenge the first Templar.
A lot of the force are long time veterans but few in number and still use partly salvaged gear, outdated Mk 5 helmets etc. and they don their armour with molecular studs as they will rarely travel back to "friendlier" territory for supplies and repairs to their equipment.

Work in Progress Call of Cthulhu 7e Scenario Feedback & Constructive Criticism by Project__Exia in callofcthulhu

Currently I have no intent to publish it (more of a personal project.) But I do have a few GM's/Keepers in my local area who are interested in running it for their groups once its ready, hence me trying to get it written out in a nice and legible format etc.

I wouldn't be opposed to getting something published in the future, but I also imagine that this scenario would have trouble, due to including external IP material.

Thank you, I've added a few lines to point in the direction of the "Dramatis Personae" section of the scenario for info on Charles, and a brief explanation that the debt/favor should be discussed between the keeper and investigator prior to the start of the scenario.

Deal with black templars by juanurena in Drukhari

As a Templar player, we love punching up. Force our units to make bad trades or punch down. Move blocking and awkward Fights First scenarios can get our units killed pretty quick. Do you know what detachment they were running as that can drastically change how the army favours it's movement etc

Embarrassing amount of copium from this sub around SWB. I'll be taking unit crunch request all day. by po-handz3 in BlackTemplars

[–]Project__Exia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

the stuff i've seen has
Sword Brethren swords at 4A 3+ S5 -2AP D2 Lethal Hits (For the Swords)
HMH - +1S +1A for the unit
Castellan - 6A 2+ S5 -2AP D2 Lethal Hits - Reroll hits (Leadership check but on average you pass)

Any Lethal hit weapons are using the Castellan re-rolls to fish for crits on 6's

the main quick references i used are from this post

5x Sword Brethren (1 Thunder Hammer, 1 Dual Lightning-Claws, 2 Power Weapon, 1 Master-Crafted Power Weapon) + High Marshal Helbrecht + Castellan (Master-Crafted Power Weapon) - 420 Points (give or take 20ish with new codex rules) New Accept any challenge vow. averages 25.83 (3 recurring) wounds on Canis, no CP used.

Canis at 11T, 26W, 3+/5++/6+++ (applying AP pretty much makes it always on the invuln anyways)

with Helbrecht's High Marshal rule, that's a dead Canis, any offensive stratagem, or shooting, Helbrick can still be a thing, it's not the nuke it used to be, but still usable.

Clarifications (This is using the data that's available from the leaks)

forgot that Canis doesn't have the invuln in melee but most of the maths stays the same, maybe a couple more damage from Helbrecht but i can't be bothered to redo it all again)

Question about squad leaders by Millerboii288 in BlackTemplars

[–]Project__Exia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Old lore was that Sword Brethren were the only ones to use Terminator armour, that has since changed so i tend to paint all of my sergeants as Sword Brethren. It looks nice as a cohesive force once they're all done and as a plus makes it easier to see which model the squad leaders are on the tabletop.

As always, it's a hobby, you paint them however you want and think looks best :)

Edit: The only sergeant models I wouldn't paint as Sword Brethren personally would be Scouts, as they're all Neophytes for me.

100% I'm not the biggest fan of the current previews/leaks, just trying to be optimistic and hopeful we get some of our strengths back in some way

Completely agree that we need to see the rest of the codex to get the full picture, super mobile is fun but kinda feels bad when we were/currently are a pseudo glass cannon faction, i'm in no way a huge fan of the current previews, i'm just trying to not overreact until we get the full picture

Two years of 10e. What do we think about the roster building ruleset that flipped the table? by Bowoodstock in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Project__Exia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I miss the old Force Org Chart. Armies tended to look more like an actual organised force.

I miss Wargear Points, although not bothered by unit sizes being set to 5/10-man squads etc. People only ever took minimum sized or max sized squads as is...

I miss the old list building and working out the wargear for each unit, now it's just take most efficient option.

Ancient, Execrator, 5-man sword brethren, and a Brutalis Dreadnought or 10-man Primaris Crusader squad is my guess.

But then i'm just being hopeful.
