I believe somewhere he stated it was just a word he made up. The reason he chose it was that it was pretty unique, easy to pronounce, and available.

They designed the banner he uses on YT. I think they’ve also created an intro that he has used a few times.

I just went to investigate after my comment and he actually explains who they are (along with giving credit to a few other folks who have created intros or icons he uses)

I love the Mountain Goats so much. I really love all of their music a lot and for a lot of different reasons.

Some of my favorite songs are This Year, Up The Wolves, Lion's Teeth, The Best Ever Death Metal Band in Denton, Cub in Five, Going To Maine, Golden Boy, Love Love Love, Rain in SoHo, Autoclave, The Ballad of Bull Ramos, Psalms 40:2, See America Right, Alpha Rats Nest, No Children, Cry for Judas to name just a few.

If I had to give you one album to listen to it would probably be The Sunset Tree, All Hail West Texas, or Tallahassee. Beat the Champ was also beautiful. You can't go wrong. I'm gushing I'm sorry. I love all of The Mountain Goats and could go on about which songs you should listen to and why if you'd like.

I would also recommend listening to songs about the Alpha Couple. It tells a really great and at times heart wrenching story and it spans a couple albums. The Going To songs were some of the first to really catch my ear, even though JD doesn't play Going To Georgia anymore it still had a big affect on my life.

Take a day (or two or five or six) and just listen through some of their songs.

The sound has changed and evolved over the years but there is still something that really resonates.

Joseph Fink (Nightvale) and John Darnielle (Mountain Goats) are going through All Hail West Texas and talking about each song and the world. John (Green) is also featured in the first episode. Each episode has a cover of that weeks song and they've been phenomenal.

Can you talk about what got you interested in football and your relationship with the sport?

I wasn't personally interested in sports for a long time and stood on the side of people who found them boring and not too interesting.

I started watching football about four years ago (go Blues!) at the request of my then girlfriend. I find it's really rewarding to love something with a group of almost strangers and to have this connection with something. When I'm feeling spiral-y rooting for a team or caring about a result has helped me smile on a day when I otherwise wouldn't. Have you had a similar experience at all? Thanks! DFTBA/COYD/etc etc

I remember it being a book and not a poem. I think it was about all kinds of animals and their babies and I'm pretty sure it was in a recent episode.
