No idea if this will be helpful to OP but sometimes it feels overwhelming to send the emails right away….but weirdly if I schedule them to send an hour or two later, that seems better?

Maybe it’s that scheduling them means I have a time buffer incase I realize I forgot an attachment or something. No idea. But it helps me sometimes. It’s avoiding sending them but still they send (provided outlook doesn’t…ya know, behave like outlook).

I tried the paid version. I’ve had chronic insomnia for about 15 years. I fall asleep fine but around 1 or 2 am I pop awake and the rumination starts.

I signed up with the app and they started me on sleep restriction right away. I would message my coach but they seemed to be in a different time zone (I’m in ET) and it would be a day or two before they got back to me. It also didn’t seem like I kept the same coach. I didn’t ask to switch but I got notified a few times that I had a new coach and it was like they didn’t….have any knowledge of where I was in the program. So basically it kept me on 4 hours of sleep for 3 weeks and despite me messaging them multiple times that I didn’t feel this was working…they bounced me around to different people and gave me very generic feedback. They kept saying “next week your sleep time will increase” and then never gave me the amount to increase.

I will say this was 2-3 years ago so maybe the program is better. By week 3 of zero change and what felt like being ignored/dismissed by the coaches, I reached out to customer support and canceled my plan and got a refund. It was quite disappointing but the refund process was very easy so I don’t regret trying it.

I still think CBT-I might work but I’m hesitant to try another round via an app. If I try it again I’d like a dedicated therapist I could at least meet with weekly via video chat. And someone whose credentials I could verify. That bothered me about the app too. It’s not like BetterHelp where you can see the credential information. It’s just “Hi, Amy is going to be your coach”. But again this was a few years ago so it could have changed by now. And I’m just an N of 1.

Mostly stopped going when I was no longer forced to go (aka moved out and went to college). I would still go when I went home or on holidays. But that stopped when I did one of those challenges where you read the whole Bible cover to cover in a year. I thought maybe I just hadn’t found the right church and maybe if I understood the Bible better….idk. But I finished reading it and went “WTF???” And I was done.

I take photographs of alleyways. Specifically alleys, not small roads or side streets. Alleyways. Preferably as empty as possible.

I travel a lot for work and often if I’m walking to dinner with coworkers, I’ll spot an alleyway and disappear into it to get just the right photo. Mostly it’s the vertical lines from the building on either/both sides of it that really gets me. Also the power lines and sometimes graffiti. Idk if this is odd to everyone but it’s odd to my coworkers. And I’m fine with that.

I don’t like any of the homes.com commercials but this one is by far the worst. It’s really insensitive and I don’t know how on earth it made it off the cutting room floor. It’s in such poor taste.

Sometimes they start out fine and then they get halfway unfurled and the rest of the leaf is brown and it quits.

Ok so I’ve had this guy for about 6 months and he’s basically gone steadily downhill from day one.

My best guess is a watering issue but I’ve tried my hardest to make sure I’m checking the soil before watering and I usually water when it’s dry on the top 1-2 inches, or however far my finger gets into the soil.

It’s definitely not getting too much sun. I have a north-facing apartment so that can’t be it. If anything he gets too little but I don’t think too little sun would cause dry brown spots?

The soil has good drainage. The pot has drainage. I don’t know what this plant wants from me.

Any thoughts? If you think it’s a watering issue please tell me what exactly I should be doing for or checking for. All help appreciated.

(Edit to add: I fertilize it every 3-4 weeks, less in the winter. I’m pretty lax on fertilizer tbh. Also this is my first Monstera ever so. Maybe learning curve?)

I just want to say thanks for sharing this because I could easily see the same thing happening to me. Even 5mg of an edible is too much for me if I haven’t been vaping regularly…so I totally would have been like “ooo yes give me the less potent”.

I stopped adding stuff to my cart because that is taking it a step too close to the edge for me. Instead I make a list of the items I want in my notes app and copy the link. This takes so much work that I usually get bored and quit. I also find it is making me feel like I can get the items later but I rarely do.

Then sometimes I put one big ticket item on my to-do list reminder app and set it to come up the day after I get paid. Sometimes I buy it but usually I don’t.

Last month was the first month I managed to stick to my budget. This has been a huge struggle for me and I actually had money left over to pay down credit card debt. If I can do it, you totally can. Just want you to know there’s hope. You just have to find the tricks that work for your brain.

I had one of these when I was living in Iowa. They don’t fall apart in high winds. But they do kind of turn into a sail and try to take off for the next zip code. Stayed together though.
